[Closed] Trials in the Pridelands

Nala nodded and she looked to the cubs, "Why don't you four go run along and play by the watering hole. The sun is high and its getting hot, I will come get you when its dinner time." she softly. She nudged Kiara, Chaka and Kopa forward and nodded to Dyanna aswell, "Run along now, all of you." she said watching them run down the dirt path towards the watering hole. Nala rubbed her head aginst Simba's and she purred softly. Kopa and Chaka are already getting their manes.." she said out loud her blue eyes looking up at her King.

"Okay! Come on Kiara!" Dyanna called as she padded down the dirt path, she kicked up some dust. Her bright blue eyes narrowed as she spotted the watering hole a distance away, "I can't wait to take a dip! Race you there!" she said giggling as she ran towards their destination.


Monstro's big paw pulled Kovu close for a moment as he eyed the Pride lands, "Yes, now I want you to hang around the watering hole. Do some exploring and keep your ears open. See if they are still patrolling as much as they use to be, don't come back until nighttime. If your not back by then, I will come and retrieve you." he ordered looking to his son. With a nod he watched Kovu make his way towards the Pride lands, "Kovu...I will come get you in the morning." he added yelling after him. Monstro padded beside Zira and nuzzled her neck, "We shall see what he hears and sees...I want to see if Simba has let his guard down yet." he said grinning evilly.

"I do love your cleverly evil mind," she cackled, "But... you're sure he'll be okay? If he comes back injured, I hold you personally responsible!"

Kovu bade his father farewell, and began to explore the lands around him. Scents filled his nostrils, and he couldn't get enough. It was almost too much. But no, it was just right. His mind filled with excitement and joy. And rebellion. He stopped, and thought about what he was doing. If he were to keep going, some animal would see him and alert the king. The scent of his mother was surely all over him, and if Simba smelled it... well, he'd be in trouble.

Simba watched Kiara as she was leaving with Dyanna. "Be careful, you two! Don't go farther than the waterhole, and if you see anything suspicious, come and get your mother and I," he shouted.

Nala smiled, "They will be fine Simba." she said nuzzling his neck. She licked his cheek and gazed up at him, "I love you.." she cooed softly.


Dyanna pounced through the grass as they approached the watering hole, she dived in a moment. Enjoying the cool refreshing water she hopped back out towards Kiara, "It feels so good!" she muttered.


Monstro smiled, "If Kovu is not back by dawn, I told him I will go get him." he said sternly. He sat next to Zira and watched Kovu go, "If the boy is as smart as we think, he'll bathe himself to weaken your scent. But all he has to do is scout around a bit. I'll keep my eye on the borderlands...dont worry love." he said giving her a soft nuzzle.

Simba smiled and looked at Nala. "I love you too..." he said, returning the lick. "Can you believe everything that's happened? Kopa and Chaka are getting their manes, Kiara is maturing, Vitani and Mheetu are returning...overall, things are going very well," he said.

Kiara nodded, "I love the waterhole!" She laughed, jumping into the deep part. Splashing Dyanna, "Gotcha!" Kiara yelled, doubling over in laughter. "Come join me." She said, waving a paw at her best friend.

Nala smiled, "I can't wait to see Mheetu...I'm so happy. I haven't told my mother, I want her to be surprised. Hopefully he makes he home before she passes." she added with a frown.

Dyanna ran after Kiara and jumped into the cool blue liquid splashing around with her best friend, she splashed some Rhino's taking a drink. "OOPs...sorry." she muttered with a small smile. She laughed and splashed at Kiara, she chased after her best friend.

Simba smiled. "And hopefully, Vitani will have a new mate," he said, thinking of his beloved sister.

Kovu, exhausted from running around, simply stopped. Since he was so hot and sweaty, he decided to take a cool bath in the Waterhole. Sure, the water was for drinking, but no one would know. After a long bath, he notice two girls. He quickly jumped out and shook himself off. He had to look good if he was going to get anything out of them.

"Well, let's hope he knows," she sighed. "I trust that you do, but if Simba came... Oh, Monstro, I hope he has any sense."

Taking a moment Dyanna's ears perked forward at a familiar splash but her blue eyes looked at Kiara, She lifted her paw and nudged her best friend to turn around. "Kiara look..." she whispered softly.

Nala nodded to Simba, "They should be home soon..." she said softly. She nuzzled Simba's mane, "Oh Simba we have wonderful cubs and a great Pride."

Monstro nuzzled Zira, "Hes a smart cub, you've raised him well. I'm not worried...this is a test if he can survive." he said looking out towards the Pride lands. A sigh escaped his muzzle, "No worry, Kovu will do well."


OOC: I'm going to bring Mheetu in because well...hes now switching RPs. =P


It seemed like a quick journey as Mheetu sprang from the jungle, he noticed Pride rock and he looked back at Vitani. "Home Tani....were home!" he said nuzzling her softly. Waiting for her to catch up they ran towards Pride rock, reaching the bottom and out of breath Mheetu roared. "Nala...Simba...Mom!" he yelled up. His mossy green eyes looked up and he heard some chatter from the Pride, he roared once more.

Nala froze mid sentence as her light tan ears twitched from the roar, "Simba...its them!" she squealed and looked over the edge. The sight of Mheetu built with muscle and Vitani by his side puzzled her. She looked back at Simba, "Vitani has no mate.." she said curiously. She then bounded down the rocky path and tackled Mheetu in to the soft grass, "Look at You! So grown!" she said with a smile.
