Simba sighed and turned to Kiara. "Great-Uncle Scar did many horrid things, things that are too big to be considered mistakes. For example, he plotted to murder an innocent newborn cub," he stated.

Kiara sighed, "The cub was you, Grandma 'Rabi told me." She stated, "But still, shouldn't every lion we treated the same?" Looking at her father with sad eyes. "Grandma 'Rabi also told me how Great-Uncle Scar was treated, unwanted by his father. I was told, Ahadi preferred Papa 'Fasa, as Papa would become next king. Ahadi forgot about his other son." Kiara said, remembering the story's she was told as a cub. Sitting in the den alone, with her Grandma 'Rabi. "Ahadi wasn't fair, therefore driving Great-Uncle Taka into hatred of Papa 'Fasa."

Kiara looked at her family, "Ahadi gave Taka the scar, when Taka was trying to be noticed!" She knew the stories of the past. "Great-Uncle Taka should be with the Great Kings and Queens of the past. With his family. As we all want when we pass." Kiara already knew she said to much. "But why wouldn't they allow him? Should I pray for him to be with them? I want to help him, not be against him. He is still family." Kiara didn't know what to do, she wanted everyone to be treated the same. So nobody would be left out. I said to much. Thought Kiara, knowing her family would be in shock.

Simba gave a small smile and pulled Kiara close to him. "I understand what you're feeling, Kiara. I mean, I've wondered the same thing myself many times. That's why, if I ever see Great-Aunt Zira again, I'm going to offer her the chance of redemption. I can only hope that her hate hasn't fully consumed her," he said.

Kiara smiled, then frowned. "What if she is consumed by hate? and, why do we call Great-Uncle Taka by the name of Scar?" She asked, "His name is Taka. Not Scar." She added, turning her head slightly.

Simba realized that his daughter was right. "You're right, Kiara. 'Scar' was the name Ahadi gave to Taka in a rage. We will call him Taka from now on. As for Zira, we will try to avoid a fight for as long as we can. If she is consumed by hate, I don't know what we'll do," he said.

Kiara smiled. "I like the name Taka." She said, looking at her father. "Why would Ahadi hate his own son?" She asked, knowing her questions were probably annoying.

Simba sighed, trying to figure out how to explain it. "Well, Ahadi never wanted a second cub. However, Queen Uru eventually got pregnant again and soon gave birth to Taka. Taka was weak and sickly from birth, and for this reason, Ahadi despised him," he explained.

Nala nuzzled Kopa with her muzzle, "But Taka survived, but wasn't as big or as strong as your Papa 'fasa." she added. "Taka looked more like Great Granda Uru, thin." she spoke softly remembering Taka's face. She looked over at Simba, "As for Zira, we can only hope she finds peace where ever shes ran off too."

Dyanna sat quietly listening to them chatter about the past and she sighed, she missed home. Her bright blue eyes gazed at her own paws as she thought of stories her own mother use to tell her, the stories of her mom's old Pride.


Monstro sat outside of the den as the sun was high and looked around for their small Pride, "Kovu." he snapped loudly. "Kovu, come out here immediately." He took notice to Kovu's quick growing mane and he had a few things for him to do.

Simba looked at Nala. "We can only hope that, if she's even still alive, she stays in the exile that my father put her in long ago and does not come here to bother us," he said.
