Adofo: Baby.....I've always wondered.....why do you call me by my name?

(YOu wouldn't think so, but calling your parents by their name is a big deal.)

[Uh... I don't do that.]

"Because I heard from somewhere else that it's respectful," Adena said. "Can't remember where, but I heard someone say it was a respectful way of greeting your parents or grandparents."

[Adofo]

Adofo: Well....to be honest.....no. It's not. It makes me feel like you think I'm not your father or you DON'T respect me or something. I just.......well I don't know why I never asked before.

[Iri]

Adena sighed. "Well, I'm sorry, I was raised thinking that, all right? Jeez, I'm not smart." She turned on her heel, her hackles bristling.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Hey.....it's okay. YOu can just call my dad or daddy! ....If you want. I was just a little worried is all.

[Iri]

"I'd prefer not to call you 'Dad' or 'Daddy'," Adena said. "I'll stick with 'Father'." She headed off.

[Adofo]

Adofo went back to his mate.
Adofo: Hey, you want a late breakfast?

[Iri]

Yekize was asleep. "Hmm?" she murmured sleepily. Ua was curled against her side.
"Sorry," Yekize said. She stretched.

[Adofo]

Adofo: Still tired? I guess I did keep you up late doing....."things" last night. Sorry

[Iri]

"S'all right," Yekize said.
Ua nudged Adofo's knee and motioned towards a clump of bushes to talk to him for a minute.
