Marini's serious tone when she mentioned that she knew about his late-night visits left Tanga scared of what she would say next, as he kept his eyes jammed shut and waited for the furious rant he was sure would come next.

"You..." he hesitated, taking a small half-step back deeper into the waterhole, oblivious to the water swirling around his knees now.
