Stranger in the Moonlight [Open!!]

"Heh.. yeah." Angus lowered his voice, feeling awkward that he was having a conversation with someone. It almost was shocking, for many others did not appreciate his company, and most things turned into a fight. Hopefully it wouldn't become that with Kamaria.

"Well, we should probably get some sleep, big day tomorrow." Kamaria said as she stretched and laid her head on her paws. "Good night, Angus,...." she said as she closed her eyes again, feeling peaceful.

Angus nodded, and closed his eyes. He tried to picture only the good, so he wouldn't stay awake. Kamaria was correct, they did have a big day tomorrow, so it was for the best if he could manage to sleep.

*Fast forward*

Kamaria woke up, feeling like a new lioness. She got up and stretched, then looked at Angus, seeing him still asleep. "He looks at peace' she thought. "Maybe I should get something for us to eat." Then she told the two birds, "I'm going to hunt, be right back." Then she walked off to find a antelope.

Angus stirred himself awake, almost instantly jumping to his paws. It took him a couple moments to rethink what he did yesterday, and he remembered Kamaria had slept nearby him. He looked on either side of him, and obviously she wasn't there. Luckily her scent was fresh, and he followed it until he was caught up to her.

Kamaria was lying low to the ground, seeing a herd of zebras. 'Breakfast is going to be good' she thought as she got ready to pounce. Then after a few seconds, she jumped and ran toward the herd, looking for the weakest ones to take down. As she got closer to one, she said quietly, "You're mine!" and she pounced on a zebra nearest to her and had a death grip on its neck. When it stopped struggling, she let go of it, panting hard. "Man, I need to work out more often!" she said to herself.

Angus had only caught a warthog, not really expecting anything big. Most things were scarce, and he didn't need to eat much to get his energy. However, unsure of what Kamaria was catching, he wasn't going to eat until she did. After all, he was still using up some of the energy he got from his antelope a week or two ago. Careful not to spread the blood scent everywhere, Angus dragged the lifeless body to where they had slept, and comfortably laid himself down where he was last night.

Kamaria carried her zebra to where they slept, seeing Angus awake and with a warthog. "Morning, Angus!" she said after she dropped the zebra.

Angus gently dipped his head. "Good morning." Catching the scent of zebra, he looked up, noticing the plump one she had caught. "I see you've been busy. ..And it is quite a nice catch you got."

"Yeah, well, I don't want to brag but, I always did a good job at hunting. Hey, maybe I'll teach some preadult lionesses how to hunt like how I learned." Kamaria said as she sat down.
