Lina's grin became wider and wider as she thought over the idea that just came to her mind. She heard Juhudi, and quickly pulled ihm aside so that Kijamii wouldn't hear them in case Juhudi didn't feel like doing what she thought of. "How about we include Kijamii in our plan as well?" she asked, quiet enough for only Juhudi to hear, "It will be better if she's the one investigating him!" she added, before gesturing at Dakari, "We can ask her now that Dakari's asleep." she then looked at him for approvla, "Unless you think the original idea is better?"

--------

Marini found herself growing more and more nervous as Tanga seemed to be coming closer into overcoming his shyness and telling her about his crush. When he finally did, Marini smiled and was about to say something when he suddenly pulled away and stood up. She got up as well, and took a few steps towards him, "What makes you think that?" she asked, sitting next to him. "That's really sweet of you." she admitted, hoping that the negative thoughts he was experiencing weren't too serious and that she could convince him otherwise, "You're also the first one to be like this for me." she said, deciding that reminding him of the fact that she told him what happened to her would be a good example, "You're the first one to whom I told what happened to me. I wouldn't have told it to you if I didn't...." she then paused, feeling slightly embarrased herself

Juhudi considered Lina's idea for a moment, trying to weigh up the pros and cons of both alternatives. "That does seem kinda fun..." he said slowly. "But I dunno...Kijamii seems to like him just as much as he likes her. I don't think she'd like us teasing him over it...besides, if we do this, then we don't get any chance to tease her about it, either," he added, smiling slightly at the idea. The original plan gave them no allies, but two targets instead of one...that, in Juhudi's mind, made it the better plan. More fun for them.

----------

Tanga stopped when he realised that Marini was getting up to follow him, and decided to wait and listen to her as she sat down beside him. When she said his words were really sweet, he stopped and looked at her, mild surprise on his muzzle. "You...?" he question died without being asked as Marini ploughed on, telling him that he was the first one to be like this for her, and that he was the first one who had heard her story. But when her own words died unfinished, a small part of Tanga dared to hope that the words she had left unsaid were what he suspected they had been.

Looking at her, he finally found his voice again. "I...I didn't realise you hadn't...I don't know what to say, Marini," he stuttered out, struggling to find the words to express himself. "I just...thank you, I guess, for trusting me like that. I just hope my, uhh...crush...hasn't ruined that," he added, blushing even worse than ever as he finally admitted his feelings completely. He figured that, since he had already pretty much told her, there was no use hiding it now...he just hoped that, even if she didn't return his feelings, that she'd accept it and let them stay as friends, at least. Tanga figured he could live with that.

Lina's excitement soon died as Juhudi explained why he prefered the original plan better than the new one, causing her to immediately agree with him as she thought over his explenation. "Yeah, you're right... I'm just so bored." she admitted with a heavy sigh, before storming her mind for anything else the two of them could do, but without any success. "There's gotta be something we can do." she added, looking at Juhudi and hoping that maybe he could come up with something to pass the time. "I'm bored." she repeated, this time loud enough for Kijamii to hear as well, just in case the lioness had something on her mind.

--------

Marini found herself giggling a little when Tanga said that he hoped he hadn't ruined her trust with his crush. She wasn't really fond of the whole relationships / crushes thing, but a crush didn't seem to her like something which could spoil trust. "Don't worry, it didn't." she said, smiling at him despite the fact that he was again avoiding her gaze due to his nervousness. She fell silent and tried to think of what was she going to say next, when the words came out without her even noticing, "You're kinda cute, by the way." When she realised that she had just said it out loud, she struggled to come up with something else to say, but she ended like Tanga; unable to say a word.

Juhudi smiled as Lina slowly backed down from her plan, saying she was bored. He could tell, from her body language, that she must be as bored as he was. "Yeah..." he sighed, looking around the den, noticing Kijamii relaxing peacefully by Dakari's side, trying to find something to do. "I'm bored, too."

Suddenly an idea sprang to mind, and his boredom made him decide, on a spur-of-the-moment decision, to show Lina his idea rather than ask her first. Smirking at his best friend, he turned to her, before crouching, growling playfully a split-second before he pounced at Lina, paws outstretched, aiming to tackle her to the ground and wrestle with her. He was going to beat her this time, he was sure of it!

----------

Tanga managed a weak, shy smile at Marini as she waved aside his worries about her taking his crush badly in any way, secretly relieved. But when she spoke up again, describing him as cute, he whipped back to face her, a stunned look on his face, the rapid turn of his body while sitting down nearly causing him to stumble and fall. He barely manage to gather himself in time, staring at her with undisguised shock.

"Y-you...you think so...?" he stuttered out, more as a reflex than anything else. No-one aside from his parents, and occasionally his sister, had ever used that word to describe him. Most described him as 'scrawny' or 'weak'...a compliment from someone outside his family was pretty much something Tanga never recieved...to actually get a comment like that from Marini, even if she was a friend, was something he was not quite prepared for.

"I...thank you," he finally said, still using his mane to obscure as much as his face as possible, particularly his eyes, as he tried to come up with something more to say. "I...I think you're...really cute...too..." he said slowly, cursing every syllable that came out of his muzzle for sounding so stupid. Feeling more embarrassed than ever, he lay down on the floor of the tunnel again, facing the nearest wall and trying not to focus on his persistent embarrassment.

As she realised that she was getting no idea from either Kijamii or Juhudi, Lina let out a heavy sigh and sat down. All that boredom even made her feel rather sleepy, and she thought that maybe if she managed to fall asleep then she could wake up once the storm was already over. She lay down, and as a result of her own tiredness didn't even notice Juhudi who flew right above her head, barely missing her. For a moment she felt like walking over and cuddling up in Dakari's mane, but she decided not to risk waking him up since she wasn't too cold on her own.

--------

Marini again giggled as Tanga turned to face her and nearly fall, giving him a weak nod as her positive answer to his question. She somehow couldn't believe the situation; She never believed that she would ever be able to open up to somehow like she just did, yet there the two of them were. And even though it contradicted everything she felt like her entire life, it just felt right, even if Marini couldn't quite understand why she was feeling that way. As Tanga lay down, she slowly walked over, and lay down by his side. She wasn't sure of what was she supposed to do now, so she just lay there silently without saying anything.

Juhudi definitely had not expected Lina to pick that moment to sigh and lie down, and unable to do anything about it, his playful smirk vanished, a split-second before he collapsed to the ground in a heap, thrown off-balance by his own wild pounce, ending up flat on his back, grunting with the impact against the rock.

Almost as soon as he came to a stop, though, he was back on his paws straight away, catching a concerned look from Kijamii as he turned back towards his friends. He gave her a small smile, letting her know he was fine, before turning to Lina. "How do you do that?" he demanded, although there was no coldness in his voice. More like a mix of surprise, awe, and a hint of annoyance. "How did you know I was coming?"

----------

Tanga jumped slightly as he felt Marini's presence by his side once more, but quickly relaxed again, turning to face her an showing her a small, shy smile once again, before turning and looking back towards the entrance to the tunnel, noticing that the storm was still pounding down, although it wasn't quite as bad as before. "Wonder how long this will keep up?" he asked casually, in a small attempt at striking up another conversation...he liked talking with Marini.

Lina lay there silently, completely missing the sound caused by Juhudi who hit the ground on her other side. She did notice him at long last when he spoke up, asking her on how she did it, leaving her completely confused. "What are you talking about?" she asked, looking at him for a short moment before realising what the entire thing was about, but instead of teasing Juhudi like she would normally do, she let out a yawn. "I'm tired." She said, looking at the two cuddled up adults and then back at Juhudi, "Can you be my pillow?" She asked with a pleading tone and big glassy eyes, "I'm too tried to walk over to Dakari."

--------

Marini, despite how right being by Tanga's side felt, was still feeling a little confused by those sudden emotions. She was suddenly feeling nervous about even being there. Did that mean that she like Tanga as well, and was starting to grow feelings for him? She snapped out of her confusion when Tanga broke the silent, causing her to look outside and try to see whether it was still raining or not. "Could be a few minutes, or hours, I can't tell..."

It was still pouring quite hard, but she didn't really care about how long they would have to stay there. She suddenly remembered that when they came in, they stopped in the middle of the tunnel, and that the tunnel still continued a rather long way. "Hey, I wonder what's deeper down this tunnel?" she asked, looking at Tanga and silently asking him whether they could both go check, because of her being phobic of such places. But she thought that if they were already stuck inside, why not see what's on the other end of the tunnel?

Juhudi looked at her when she met his question with a question of her own, before sighing and shrugging as she changed the subject...she never would tell how she always knew he was coming, why would this be any different? But when she turned around, commenting on her drowsiness and asking to use him as a pillow, Juhudi froze. "Wha...uhh..."

He hesitated a moment, his cubbish attitude towards such snuggling clashing with the pleading look in Lina's muzzle, and the fact that he did care for her. In the end, her cute, exaggerated pleading won him over, as he sighed again, lying back down on the orck near her and resting his head on his paws. "Yeah, sure," he replied, trying, and failing, to hide a yawn of his own. "I guess I'm a little tired, too..." he admitted, although he was still bored...maybe he could sleep the boredom away or something.

----------

Tanga nodded at Marini's unsure answer to his question...it had really been rhetorical, but he didn't mind. He looked back at her as she commented about the mysteries of the tunnel, noticing the unspoken question for them to explore further in her gaze. He had to admit he was curious about the tunnel's depths, and since Marini had suggested it...

"We can always go look, if you want," he said, reluctantly shuffling away from her to stand up, stretching out his limbs before taking a single step deeper into the tunnel, waiting for Marini to join him. "I've never seen a cave this deep before, though," he added, a hint of curiosity beginning to show as his shy shell finally starting to slip away a fraction.

For a moment back there, Juhudi's hesitation somehow reminded her of how Tanga behaved during the hide and seek game when he first met Marini, or Dakari's behaviour around Kijamii. She found that a little funny, but all she could do was yawn again as she clowly snuggled up close to her friend. She shuffled around for a few moments before finally finding a comfortable position, "You need a mane mister." she said, trying to make it sound funny despite how tired her voice made her sound. She knew that Juhudi's mane would grow some day, she was just used to being cuddled up to Dakari all the time.

--------

Marini smiled slightly when Tanga agred to go have a look with her, but since she was still a little afraid of going deeper, she slowly came up behind him, letting him silently know that she wanted him to lead. After a few seconds of silent walk, she attempted to start a conversation, "So..." she started, trying to think of what to say, "About a few moments ago..." she hoped Tanga would understand what she was thinking about. They both said some things, but nothing really happened after they did so.

Juhudi chuckled a little as Lina commented on his lack of mane. "Yeah...I wish I had one, too," he commented, his voice showing a similar weariness to Lina's, as he sighed lightly. "It can't be too long before it starts growing," he added lightly, thinking about it. Considering his age, he figured he was a few months off reaching the early stages of his adolescence...a few long months that he could not wait to pass by. No matter how many times anyone told him that being a cub was a blessing, he still couldn't wait to grow up, to be an adult, and lose all the extra rules cubs had to stick by.

----------

Tanga's blush returned in full force as Marini brought up there earlier moment, where he had admitted his feelings for her. "I, uhh..." he stalled, trying to find something to say in response to Marini's prompt. "I did mean what I said back there," he said, this time forcing his shyness back enough to look at her as he said it, letting the sincerity show in his eyes. "All of it...I really do like you...a lot..."
