A Change of Plans [PRIVATE: AC & The Whistlerify]

Re: A Change of Plans [PRIVATE: AC & The Whistlerify]

Marini didn't know whether she should be relieved with what just happend or whether she should be even more concernd tha before. On one paw, Nala was still angry with Tanga and she had just shown it again, but on the other she seemed to be very thought-ful about all of this. Maybe if she took some time alone she would eventually forgive him, hopefully. When Nala was gone, Marini sighed and sat hersef down closer to Simba and Tanga, "I'm sure she'll move on eventually." she said hopefully, aiming those words mainly at Tanga

Tanga sighed as Nala left, part of him feeling horrible that she was so angry with him, part of him relieved that she had not attacked him. "I hope so. But she's really angry at me...and I know Sarabi is, too." He then looked at Simba. "I doubt things are going to work out between all of us for a while, Simba," he said sadly. "From what I saw, Sarabi look even angrier than Nala has been, and I still don't know how the others feel."

Tanga was worried, and it showed. Simba may have been quick to forgive him, as had Marini, but Nala and Sarabi seemed to be the exact opposite, and Kali, Busara and Uhuru were still unknowns...and that left Tanga worried. If too many of the group shunned him for todays action, he might as well not even be there.

Simba nodded at Tanga's words, knowing he was right. "I'll talk to mom, but she'll probably calm down soon." he said hopefully, but he sounded as if he was mostly trying to convince himself rather than Tanga or Marini

Sighing, hearing the lack of conviction in Simba's voice, Tanga decided that he had had enough of this conversation. "Well, I know you've already forgiven me, simba...but I'm still sorry for what happened, and I hope you get better as fast as possible," he said, before turning to Marini. "I'm heading back to our spot for a rest...you do what you like."

But before Tanga even had a chance to move, a voice boomed from somewhere behind him, out in the cave system. "Get away!" Tanga whirled around, before cowering as Sarabi appeared in front of him, looking absolutely frightening. Her teeth were bared, her muzzle set in a menacing snarl, as she looked at Tanga with a cold fury. "Get away from my son! I don't want to see you near him again, got it?!"

Tanga, absolutely terrified, nodded, before hurriedly slipping past the scary mother, bolting for the furtherst nook he could find in the cave system and hiding there, pushing himself against the far wall, shaking as his panic attack started to settle down, but only a little. He had never seen Sarabi like that before...and as he remembered the look on his face, he was suddenly frightened for his very life, she had looked that furious at him.

Simba was about to say the usual 'see you later' and then see what was Marini going to do now that Tanga was leaving. All of sudden his head turned towards the source of his mother's, and even he was slightly frightened by the sight of her. He also had never seen her like this before, and before he managed to say something against what she just said, Tanga was already running out of the nook. He was silent for a few seconds, and only spoke when he noticed Marini slowly leave the nook, also with a frightened exression on her face. "Mom, what did you just do?!" he said, feeling completly angry a her all of a sudden

Sarabi turned to face her son, her anger quickly subsiding as Tanga and Marini ran off. She completely ignored his question, however, focusing on his well-being. "Are you okay, Simba?" she asked, coming closer and looking him over worriedly. "He didn't hurt you again, did he?"

Simba looked at his mom, unable to believe that she just asked that question. "What? No!" he said and lay his head back down

Sarabi made a very obvious sigh of relief, completely unaware of Tanga's apologetic nature. right now, to her, her son was hurt, and Tanga had hurt him, and that's all that mattered. "Easy, dear...he's gone, and you're okay," she said soothingly, unaware that she was just digging herself into a deeper hole with every sentence she spoke.

It was simba's cold tone that surprised Sarabi the most, out of everything. "Simba, there's no need to be..." her scolding reprimand was cut short. "He apologised?" But in the end, her anger still one out. "It doesn't matter...he hurt you, Simba...and I won't let him do it again," she said, her voice as gentle and calm as she could make it, trying to placate her son.

----------

Tanga remained shivering in the far corner of the nook he had chosen, distantly hearing Simba and Sarabi's voices drifting through the cave. But Sarabi's voice just frightened him more and more every time he heard it, to the point where he wanted to leave the cave system, and seek shelter somewhere else, but was too frightened of drawing the mother's attention by moving to actually do so.
