Conal shakes his head. “You’re gonna get too close to that cub and at the end it’ll just tear your heart to shreds.”

"Then let her take that risk." Kayla replies adamantly. "It's important that we look out for her, but neither us nor her parents can control every facet of her life." She softens her voice and adopts a more reserved position. "We can't always be there for her and do everything for her. Even if we'd like to."

“I’m talking about you too. You’re gonna do whatever with it, spend all that time, and in the end when it turns? That’s it.”

"What would it take to convince you that he's trustworthy?"

“Everything. You seem to have forgotten what I’ve been through because of his little pride. It’s obvious who he’s working for. Who else wanted Sadie?”
“They what?” Sadie asks. Flashes head lowers.
“I don’t know why you even expect me to trust someone from there.”

"How about we make a deal." Kayla offers. "One that you might like."

"Don't understand how you'd possibly make a deal out of this, but go ahead I guess."

"I agreed with the Queen to have YOU watch Flash and give him a chance to prove that he's trustworthy and not like Parker or his cronies. But there's a catch..."
