Tanga laughed at Marini's mention of 'girl stuff' to Simba...unable to resist the chance to poke fun at the prince, and completely missing the hint being dropped in the process.

"Yeah, I'm coming!" he called, chasing off after Marini as the two of them walked off to the north, towards the waterhole. Tanga had absolutely no idea what he was getting himself into, though, as he caught up with his friend, moving into step alongside her, although he avoided turning his head in her direction, still embarrassed at how close he had come to being exposed this morning.

Nala waited for the two of them to fade off into the distance, before turning to Simba. "Well?" she asked, needing no more than the one word to know that Simba knew what she was asking.

Marini bent over and drank a little, but kept her eyes on Tanga to see how was he behaving next to her. She noticed Simba and Nala didn't follow them. Perfect. she thought to herself and drank a little more.
She then coughed a little to drag Tanga's attention started cleaning the back of her paw with her tongue. As Tanga's gaze was turned to her, she decided to go for it. "Tanga..." she said with a slightly different tone and continued licking her paw, "Can I ask you something?"

SImba looked at Nala, "How did she react?" he asked, eager to hear what happend

Nala turned and grinned at Simba. "Unless I missed my guess, Rini's going to be finishing what we started at the waterhole...Tanga's gonna be terrified by midday!" She burst out laughing for a few moments, before composing herself.

"But in all seriousness, beneath the teasing she's going to pull, I think she likes him just as much as he likes her." She looked back out to the north, smiling. "I'd be surprised if the two of them sleep in seperate dens from now on."

Tanga looked up, watching Marini as she cleaned her paw. "Sure," he said, a little nervously, wondering what Marini could possibly be asking about. His mind threw up his sleeping habits, but he brushed it aside as he bent to take a drink himself. It couldn't possibly be about that...could it?

Scar watched the two cubs from a distant hill as they sat by the waterhole, variously talking and drinking. Come on, Shenzi, he thought irritably, waiting for the hyena trio. You said you had a plan...the brats are here, now do it!

"In other words she's taking all the fun?" Simba asked and laughed. "Well, it was nice while it lasted.

Marini looked Tanga in the eyse, "I need a... male's opinion." she said with a tone Tanga had never heard her use before as she slowly walked up to him, "how do I look?" she asked giving him a quite seductive look

Nala chuckled at Simba's words. "Yeah...but we can still pull fun at them whenever we catch them together, right?" she said grinning at her best friend as she sat back.

"You reckon they'll end up as mates when we've all grown up?" she asked without thinking, looking at Simba, unable to stop herself wondering what the future might hold for the two of them.

When Marini mentioned needing a male's opinion, Tanga gave her an odd look? "Why a male, specifically?"

But before he could get his question out, Marini cut over him with her question, and he was floored. It was such a simple question, but one that Tanga knew could have disasterous consequences if he gave a bad answer, or simply misinterpreted the question.

"W-w-what do you m-mean?" he stammerred out, his crush on the young lioness before him and his nervousness combining with the rather seductive look she gave him to send his brain grinding to a halt as he struggled to form a coherent sentence.

Simba continued to look at the distant waterhole, "We could, but I think Tanga's only worry is Marini finding out." Simba then looked at Nala as she posed her other question, "I don't know... even though I must admit they look good together."

Marini smiled a seductive smile at Tanga's response, she scored. She kept walking towards him while keeping the seductive look . "Well, I'm a female, you're a male." she said with a normal tone, before turning it seductive again, "I should care about how I look. Especially about... other's opinion..."

Tanga took a few nervous steps backwards, wondering what had caused Marini to have such a change in character. "I-I-I..." he found himself stammerring once more.

How was he supposed to respond? He liked Marini...as in really liked her, but how could he answer this question without either insulting her or humiliating himself? In the end, though, Tanga could see no escape, and decided on what was probably the best course of action when faced with this sort of situation...just be honest.

"W-well...I, uh..." Tanga said, taking in Marini's appearance and looks as he bought a little more time. He sighed, figuring he might as well just say something, and get the humiliation over and done with faster. "L-look, I'm probably not the best one you could use for an opinion on how you look...but I...I think you look very nice."

Tanga felt so stupid, but he left it at that, part of him hoping Marini would just drop it...part of him knowing that the way she was staring at him, and the tone of her voice, meant she was far from done.

Noticing Tange move back, Marini continued walking towards him. "Why thank you." she said smiling, "Is there anything you'd like to tell me?" she asked as she walked past him and flicked her TAIL [not nose, my bad] in his face before turning around and standing right next to him

Tanga took another step back as Marini got right in his face, asking her question. In the end, his nervousness and constant backing up caused him to trip over his own feet, making an embarrassing situation worse as he fell into the shallows of the water, yelling and jumping up as the cold water soaked his fur.

But despite the setback, Marini's question hit the forefront of his mind, along with her overly sweet demeanour, and his jaw dropped as he realised what she was beginning to get at...she knew! She knew about last night! He shuffled nervously in the shallows, not sure what to say or do.

"I-I, um..." he finally sighed as he realised it was no use trying to cover up or hide what he had done any longer. "You...you know...don't you?" he asked, giving Marini a look that would easily reveal what he was referring to...if she did know.

Tanga felt a massive blush rising to cheeks. His secret was out, apparantly...but what did that mean for them? Tanga just sat in the shallows of the waterhole, closing his eyes and turning his reddened face away, waiting for Marini to explode on him.

Marini looked at Tanga and pretended to be serious when he mentioned that. "Yes, I know." she said, before returning her usual playful smile to her muzzle as she noticed his blushing. "That's so sweet!" she said her regular playful tone, "why didn't you tell me?"
