Kulinda smiled at Daxis' dismissive nature on bathing. "You say you don't care, Daxis, but I'm sure the dirt in your fur gets itchy. Would you rather me show you the proper way to bathe yourself now...or do you want me to help clean you up first?" she asked.
As she finished the questioned, it dawned on her that she was beginning to treat Daxis almost like a mother would, despite the fact that she had never had any cubs herself...she was still young, and had never found a mate which whom she could raise children, even though she tended to adore them. But she passed it aside for now...who else could Daxis look for as a mother figure in his life right now, anyway?

Tanga sighed as Makali made the comments about Daxis. "Leave him be, Makali...it's who he is. He may not be the nicest cub, but he's still part of this 'pride' we have in here, and that means we have to try and look after him as best we can, even if he does not want it. I'd rather have him around, and still cranky at me...then dead, with me knowing I could have done something to save him."
He then turned and smiled at Makali. "Besides, he's a cub...it's not exactly in his nature to be polite or grateful. And we've all gone through our problems last night. Just leave him be, Makali, I really don't care."
