She sure does have a nice smile... Jengo thought while his eyes searched her face. His amber orbs focused in on her face and before she could notice, he looked away and back at Lisimba. "I thought you would still be asleep" he chuckled over to his best friend, turning his body a little more to the adolescent lion like himself.

"Thanks!" Li replied to Isoke, before swiping her front paws from under her, he spoke "Call me Li, because this lazy get..." he said motioning to Jengo, "...Always introduces me formally!" he said laughing, "And I could say the same to you!" he said mockingly to Jengo

Isoke laughed for what felt like the first time in ages. "So,you guys wanna do somethin'?" she asked,suddenly feeling as playful and adventurous as the mischievous cub she once was.

"Sure, but first you've got to have a nick name" li said happily, play fighting again with Jengo

"A nickname?" Isoke asked,raising her eyebrows. "How does one get a nickname? I never had one. Ever." She gazed at Jengo and was unable to stop for a while.

Jengo laughed as his best friend and him started to play once more, and upon hearing the part about nicknames, he raised his head up and looked over at Isoke. "Yeah," he got up and looked down at her, "Lisimba is 'Li', y'know, since he has no creativity or originality" the male joked. At that moment, he knew his best friend would probably go after him for it, so he attempted to retract his claws but they were always going to be unshiethed to his loss. Looking back at Isoke, he shared a smile smile with her, blowing some of the mane-bangs he had in his eyes out of the way so his golden marmalade hues could be focused on if she chose.

Isoke smiled and moved a little bit closer to the two lions,her gaze still focused on Jengo. "Well,do you?" she asked, "What's your nickname?"

His head cocked more downward as the lioness came closer to him but he still held his smile firm across his muzzle. "Nope" he simply replied, quickly putting his paw over his friends mouth so he wouldn't let anything loose. If Li lets her know that my nickname is Jenny, she'll probably not even take me seriously for a moment beyond this point, the male thought.

Isoke smiled before turning away from them for a few seconds. She couldn't see any of the other lionesses nearby. Had they gone hunting? A sensation of abandonment came over her. She wasn't a good hunter,everyone knew that,she herself knew that,yet she couldn't help but wish for someone to at least ask her whether she had wanted to come. Was she really so insignificant?

Jengo had noticed her change in mood as the atmosphere was threaded with sincere sadness from the lioness in front of him, and he studied her closely. She was looking at the lionesses whom denied him of the time of day. Had she had some sort of connection to them? Or had she just been too offended by him? He hoped it was the first one.

Walking up beside her, he looked at the lionesses in the hunting grounds and then back down at her to the side, "you alright?"
