Kemmy was slightly angry at Brad for the look, and surpised at his sudden change of heart, but adjusted. Simba, I smelt something strange back where this lion was. Might I request that some other lionesses come with me to investigate? she said, her tail flicking behind her. It's probably nothing, but I'd like to check nevertheless. Sarafina approached Simba. Perhaps you should send some of us with her she said respectfully, wondering where Nala had gone off to. Vitani seconded the opinion with a nod to Sarafina, and quickly shot an inquisitive glance at Brad. She was just as confused as Kemmy about his behavior.

Simba was distracted for a second by Brad's bow. "Please don't bow to me." He looked at the other lionesses and said, "Sure go ahead just make sure to be careful okay?" He looked at Brad and said, "Perhaps Kiara could show you around." Kiara looked at Brad and said, "Sure come on I will show you the Pridelands." Simba said to Brad, "After you get back perhaps you can tell me more about this pride not ruled by kings." Brad nodded and followed Kiara around. When she started talking about these lands he thought, oh please do shut up. He knew if he was a human he would gladly shoot this annoying lioness first. Meanwhile, where Brad's truck was a dead lion, a hunting rifle and a set of tracks, one was a set made by a human however they suddenly stopped abruptly in which appeared lion tracks right where the lion Brad was.

Kemmy was particularly puzzled by Brad's behavior by now. First he was arrogant, then suddenly respectful toward Simba. She was also beginning to sense something very strange about him. Almost a wicked feeling as if he were disguised, and wished to wipe out the Pride. But she had no basis for such feelings and so she did her best to push them aside.

Following Kiara and Brad, she kept a very close eye on him. He was, after all, a strange lion with no real proof that he was friendly.

Shortly after Brad, Kemmy and Kiara departed, a the underground delivered a message to Zazu about the dead lion, truck, rifle and strange tracks. Of course, the message then went straight to Simba.

Brad noticed someone was watching him. He didn't see them but all of those years hunting made him aware when an animal had their eyes on you. He noticed Kiara talking about something called the 'Outlands'. He realized that was where he came from. He felt like he had to say something. "Sounds like a very gruelling, very hard place to live." Kiara nodded and said, "Yes my mate Kovu came from there." Brad laughed inside of his head amazed this annoying lioness had a mate.

Soon he came back with Kiara with no incidences and told everyone, "Well I will go ahead and sleep out here for the night everyone."

Simba heard the news from Zazu and told the rest of the pride, "How sad that a lion must be killed by that evil man." He then saw Brad return and heard he would sleep outside. "Excuse me friend we can be more hospitable. Please come inside and join us." Kiara looked at Kovu asking, "What do you think of this new lion?"

Kovu waited a bit before speaking. Having heard the news about the dead lion, he had a strange feeling about Brad. But he held his tongue on that subject and said, Seems ok. then he nuzzled Kiara with a purr, looking at Brad for a split second. You coming? he asked Brad, heading toward the den where the rest of the Pride slept. Kemmy followed along with some other lionesses into the den where snores were soon heard as the Pride slowly drifted off to sleep.

Brad started to lay down as well but grumbled when he heard the sounds of snoring. He was used to everything being quiet and sound not...like this. How did they...wait they are dumb animals remember? They are just too dumb to have any concept of that. He tried to fall asleep as best as he could until someone's paw flew in his face. After a constant 30 minutes of hearing all of that he couldn't help himself anymore and screamed, "Can't everyone be quiet! I mean geesh does everyone have to snore around here?!"

Kemmy and Kovu woke in utter shock as Brad yelled at everyone for being noisy. Are lions where you used to live silent sleepers? Kovu asked, trying not to sound too angry at having been woken so rudely from a peaceful sleep. Kemmy laid back down, too tired to pay much attention to the disruptive lion. She only waited for Simba to wake. Perhaps then he would realize just how rude his outburst was. You can always sleep outside if you want. Kovu said, partly jokingly and partly seriously.

Brad looked at the offer and smiled and knew that was what he had wanted all along anyway and said, "Yeah I think I will sleep outside. I should have slept outside in the first place. It was a mistake to even come in here." Brad got up and smiled at Kemmy though he obviously wasn't being serious, "Now if you want to sleep outside with me baby..." He stopped when he saw her face and laughed saying, "I didn't think so." Simba woke up as Brad was walking outside and looked at Kemmy and Kovu, "What happened?"

Kemmy's eyes widened at Brad's sarcastic comment. She scoffed loudly at him and lifted her paw to slap him round the muzzle but decided against it. Don't you talk to me that way! She said, before offendedly looking away. Kovu was debating whether or not to step in as he managed to wake himself up, seeing the situation develop between Brad and Kemmy. But when Simba spoke, everyone listened. So Kovu held his tongue and waited to see what would come of Brad's outrageous behavior.

Simba saw the silence around him as no one told him so he asked again. "I said what happened." Brad meanwhile scurried out of the den and slept outside. Though uncomfortable, it was very quiet out here with no lions snoring so he enjoyed that. He nodded off to sleep in his own little dreamworld...suddenly a man was chasing him. He fired once, he ran faster! He fired twice, he ran so fast his lungs could give out! He fired three times he got hit right in the heart where he lay there to die and to be pelted by this poacher.
