Tanga had been stunned when the booming voice had roared out in his direction, causing him to freeze as he pulled himself out of his thoughts. He had looked up in time to see a male lion grab a lioness, holding his claws to her throat, demanding that he show himself unless he wanted the young lioness to die.
His instincts had caused him to freeze up as his mind tried to catch up with the situation. Where was he? Why was that lion threatening the lioness' life? What was going on?
But the lion's threats had continued, and as Tanga finally became aware of the situation, he realised he was in big trouble. It was either slink away and save his own hide from this rather threatening lion...or show himself, and run the risk of getting himself killed in exchange for the life of the lioness currently being held in a death grip.
Tanga sighed. For him, the choice was simple. But just as he was about to push through the grass and show himself to the lion, intending on proving to him that he was no threat, the lioness in question sank her teeth into the threatening lion, forcing him to let go of her, and together with a second lioness Tanga had not paid much attention to until now, they sprinted off...
...straight in his direction!
Tanga once more froze up. The situation was moving much too fast for his confused mind to follow. He knew the lion that the two lionesses were currently running from was a big threat...but he knew nothing about the lionesses coming straight at him, either. Did he run, and forget the whole event? Or did he impose himself onto the situation, however he could?
His indecision ended up making the choice for him, as the two lionesses burst through the grass he was still hiding in, bowling him over in the process.
