Revenge - Shadowfax and Tsuki [Private]

Zuberi slapped the ground in front of him with his front paws to threaten this lioness and to show that he was not afraid. He hissed loudly and stared back at Nova. Just who did she think she is? This lioness was on her own and injured. Sure she was bigger and bulkier than he was but she would not win if it came to a fight. But if it did come to fighting, Zuberi knew that niether one of them would back down which could be a problem. Just as Zuberi was deciding what would be the best course of action, he heard a strange cackling sound coming from the undergrowth nearby. His ears twisted round to locate exactly where the sound was coming from. As he pinpointed the location, a group of five Hyenas merged out of the long grass. Keeping one eye on the lioness, he glanced over at the pack. Rage seemed to build up inside. If there was anything he hated more that Lions, it was his mother's murderers. Hyenas. But now he was between a rock and a hard place. Flee and get chased or stay hear to be torn to shreds by either a lioness or a pack of Hyenas?

Ten secs in is a Cheetah threatening if you are interested. They kind of slap the ground.

Nova smirked as she watched Zuberi's pitiful attempts to scare her away. His slapping on the ground amused her somewhat and she growled at him more loudly, her tail swishing and her paws flexing. At the noise in the undergrowth, she too snapped her head round to see what the cause was. Like Zuberi, she too detested Hyena's. She had tolerated them back when Scar was in charge, but she never liked them. Perhaps these were a group of his? Then they were cowards for running away.

Nova took her eyes off Zuberi for a moment and rounded on the hyena's. She was still burning with anger after the cowards fled and just left her former leader for dead. Scar was after all, the only lion she ever had respect for.

"Damn you all..... COWARDS! TRAITORS!" She roared, leaping at one of the hyena's and embedding her teeth into the hyenas shoulder.

Zuberi blinked in confusion as the lioness's attention was drawn away from him. He stood up and stared after her as she lept onto one of the hyenas. Zuberi's eyes widened in shock. Despite being injured, she was strong and unafraid to take on a whole pack of Hyenas all by herself. Maybe this was Zuberi's chance to make a run for it. He could get a head start and easilly outrun the lioness and hyenas. But for some reason, Zuberi felt rooted to the spot. Why couldn't he move? Suddenly, a Hyena broke away from the group and came charging at him. Zuberi dodged out to way and bit the hyena's back.

The Hyena in Nova's mouth began to whimper with pain as she drove her razor sharp fangs into the beasts shoulder. She felt blood fill her mouth and growled with utter hate and anger.

"It's Nova... You lot.. Retreat!" One of the other Hyena's called as he fled into the savanah.

The Hyena in her mouth tried to pull away, but Nova's grip was too strong for him. She smirked a bloody smirk as the hyena's feeble attempts to get away amused her no end. Some of the others were running off too, but this one had no choice but to stay.

"Please....." The hyena pleaded.

Zuberi ran after an ice cream truck. He looked over his shoulder and yelled "Would Nova like an Ice Cream!?"
