Vitani responded to the grinning rogue's orders with a sharp nod, and went off to follow her mother's plans, considering Maswali as she went. If he hadn't have been relaying orders from Zira, Vitani would have been a lot less co-operative at being ditcated by the pride's newest addition.
But she had not time to ponder why she had been left back here, as she walked back into the mound where the majority of the pride's lionesses were.
"Come on!" she shouted, her gruff toned echoing in the enclosure, "it's time for us to move out."
Most of the pride was awake, and with a little irritation at being interrupted, began to walk outside into the remorseless sun. One remained, though. Curled up in the corner of the mound was her elder brother, apparently still soundly asleep. Vitani felt a stab of annoyance run up her spine, and rolled her eyes before sighing.
"Wait outside the entrance," she ordered the mobilised lionesses, "I just need a moment."
The scruffy lioness trotted over to Nuka's still silent form. She knew her orders were to rally the lionesses, but given that Nuka had been complaining about Kovu almost constantly since she was born, she doubted he would want to miss this.
"Are you getting up or not?" she asked, prodding the barely-adult lion's back for good measure.
