Kiara was growling low before Vitani left her last comment. But as Vitani did that Kiara turned her head towards the sourche of Vitanis Voice and searched the lioness with her eyes while digging her razor sharb claws into the ground.

Stop it vita.... she was hissing through her bared teeth but as she accidently looked at her grandma seeing how she gave her a light nod and made the queen be quiet and concentrate again before the golden furred princess could finish her sentence.

She knew what she would have to do when she would notice the ground shaking and hear the zebras running for their lifes. Again she was thinking about Vitanis words and about her mother would be disappointed and embarressed if she would not do a good job and mess up the hunt. Kiara shook in her low breathing and was thinking to much about it while waiting for the final call

Vah continued to stroll along the long, vibrantly colured grass, observing his surroundings and taking in as much of it as he possibly could. He had never, In all of his life, seen such a beautiful place as where he was right now, and Vah had seen plenty of amazing places. This, though topped the list of those places by a big margin. There was a vast array of different animals, all living together in harmony. Vah could only see peace and quiet everywhere he looked, it was a great feeling, just to be walking through this area and not being afraid of being attacked by somebody. It gave him a chance to reflect on yesterday's actions and relax for a while. Something that Vah didn't have the luxury of doing everyday, being a rogue and all.

Vah swept his eyes all the way across the horizon, still amazed about the view, but what stood out most, was the majesty of the structure In front if him. It was like nothing he had ever seen before, and only added to the serene beauty of the vast plains that engulfed him. He began to wonder if anybody actually lived here, and to be perfectly honest, he would be surprised if nobody was living here. If, though, there were lions or something living here, Vah would emphasise the fact that he meant no harm to anybody. If he needed to, however, Vah would fight to the death, for he had nothing to live for. Vah would often toy with the idea of joining another pride, but eventually dismissed that possibility, as he didn't feel it was the right time for this. Although he often said to himself that joining a pride is still an option, as being a lone wanderer tends to get very tedious.

Vah was now only about a quarter of a mile away from the rock formation, although to him, it seemed big enough already. He glanced up to the top of the formation and began to imagine what the view from up there would be like, but knew it was always going to be more amazing than he thought it would ever be. With that, though, Vah also knew he was almost never going to be able to get to the top, but if there was nobody living here, he could possibly try to get up there, and most probably fail miserably by falling to his death. Vah simply shrugged absent-mindedly, as he was the type of person who believed in fate. So, basically, everything happens for a reason, even if that thing was death. However, out of all this, one thing was plaguing Vah's mind, and becoming much stronger as he got ever closer to the formation. That thing was, What would he find there?

Trained paws lightly padded across the soft grasses as the burnished tawny lioness prowled forward, lithe muscles coiled. Prepared to strike at any moment. Buzi's claws kneaded the ground as she lowered into a crouch, upon hearing the rest of the hunting party coming to a halt. One ear twitched towards Kiara and Vitani as their banter continued, the latter purposely trying to unnerve their princess to test her under pressure. However, Buzi's insides couldn't help but quiver. While they'd been welcomed to the Pridelands, she was wary of their freedom and prosperity being snatched away if they acted out of line. Still, though, she said nothing when Vitani was quieted by Sarabi. The elderly lioness providing much comfort for the younger huntress, life before Scar's death stretching back to her cubhood days listening to the wise one.

Exhaling slowly, she turned her attention back to the hunt before them. The herd was grazing peacefully, zebras wading through the sweet smelling turf. Enjoying their graze, clearly enough. And the rest of Sarabi's hunting party was settling into position. And Kiara would make the first move. The brown tuft of Buzi's tail gave an involuntary twitch as she waited, deep umber gaze remaining settled on the goal. Concentrating. Hunting was like battle - Without focus, you lost. And she did not intend to botch the Princess' passage to adulthood by moving early.

Now, she simply had to wait.

The sun was still burning down, but the hunt did not stop. It all continued, even through Kiara's and Vitani's little argument. Nala simply rolled her eyes. "Cubs..." she thought and rolled her eyes. She was well aware of the fact that they were both no longer cubs, but Kiara would always be her baby. And since Vitani was about Kiara's age, Nala had decided that she qualified as a cub too.

Nala was happy to hear that the argument finally ended and gave a smile to Sarabi as a thank you. Nala personally disliked to argue. Sure, she had indeed argued several time with several animals, but that did not mean she enjoyed it. She continued to stay low. She observed everyone's move and slowly took one step ahead. She then froze once more, not taking her eyes off the prize.

In the other end of the Pridelands, Buffy still lay underneath the shadow of the tree. However, it was not enough and she was in need of water. She slowly got up and gave a long stretch and began heading towards the waterhole. She knew she should have left the Pridelands ages ago, but she was wondering if she should join a pride soon. After all, being a young lioness on your own wasn't the easiest task in the world. But she let that thought go for now. Water was the only thing on her mind at the moment.

Sarabi waited till everyone was calmed. The time was now. All they needed was a shift in the wind to take advantage. That waiting seemed an eternity. She was hoping Kiara wouldn't mess up. Then again she thought back to her younger days, her first hunts. Sarabi's mother took her out every day to practice, simply cause she needed it. No matter what happened Sarabi could never get it, her mother was losing hope

Then the day came when Mufasa asked her to be queen when the time came. From that moment on she tried harder. With the support of her family she pulled it off and over time became possibly the best huntress ever. Sarabi needed to give Kiara that chance now. No sooner had Sarabi snapped out of her day dream, the wind changed. Without missing a heart beat, she began to run forward, startling the Zebra towards Vitani and Sarafina

Simba could not help himself, and gave a hearty laugh at Kovu's last comment, literally pleading with him not to die. "This is exactly why I'm telling you this now, Kovu. Trust me, I am doing everything in my power to stay alive...but you need to know this, in case of some...accident...it could happen, Kovu, you can't deny that." This was the main reason Simba was telling Kovu now, rather than waiting until he felt it was time to step down before telling his son-in-law. Simba himself had learned very little about how to become a king...Mufasa was only just beginning to teach him before he died, Simba's sad, nostalgic look appearing once more as the memories swept over him.

"Kovu...when I first become King...I had absolutely no idea what to do. My father had only just begun his teachings when he died, and I was running completely on what I believed a king should do...which, given how I grew up, was not the best." He let a half-hearted smile cross his face there, letting Kovu know that it was in the past, but he was being deadly serious. "In the end, my mother had to teach me as I ruled, and eventually I got the idea." Simba's smile became a little more genuine at the memories, as Sarabi gently guided Simba on what he was doing right...and what he was doing wrong, as they, along with Nala, tried desperately to bring life back to the destroyed Pridelands.

"I do not want this to happen to you, Kovu," he said, his tone once more firm, completely serious. "I do not want to die, and leave you with no knowledge of how to rule...it's already hard enough, even when you know what you're doing. I am telling you all this, Kovu, because...if you think you're ready for it, I'd like to started preparing you for when your time comes...you will have to take your place in the Circle of Life eventually, and this will help that go much more smoothly." He paused for a moment, letting it all sink in, before continuing. "We will not start today, the Great Kings know I've given you enough to think about already...but the sooner we can get this started, the better. If you have other things to do, though, I won't ask you to interrupt them. As I said, I intend to stick around for a few seasons yet."

The zebra they had been tailing moved suddenly, and Vitani glanced over to find that Sarabi had sprung into action, her sleek body sprinting toward the zebra and forcing it off to the side. In particular, the zebra had been redirected toward she and Sarafina, so there was no time to waste. Vitani leaped forward, her claws only slightly extended as she raced toward the panicked animal.

"Come on, Sarafina, pick up the pace!" she called back to her fellow attacker as she fixed her eyes on the zebra. The animal, sensing Vitani's approach from that side, switched its direction again, frantically galloping back to its right, where the rest of the hunting part lay in wait.

---

Solemnly, Kovu shook his head, his mood a bit more negative than it had been just moments prior when he had been joking around with the King of Pride Rock. He looked at Simba and sighed, his eyes fleetingly full of a slight sorrow, as if the thought of losing Simba so early in his reign seemed unthinkable, and completely miserable. Though Kovu understood he would one day have to take Simba's place -- if all went according to plan, of course -- he felt was in no position to become king just yet. There were so many years ahead, so many seasons he wanted to spend with Kiara, without the prospect of governing an entire kingdom.

"Of course I can't. I haven't denied it. I won't," whispered Kovu. "When the time comes... I'll be able to do it. I'll be able to take your place. It's... it's my duty to this kingdom."

Silently he listened to Simba continue to speak, firmly at attention while the old king orated to him what had happened once he became leader of Pride Rock. Kovu could not find many words to say in response, but he knew he should say something. And so he did.

"Simba," Kovu started, "I can't even begin to imagine how that must have felt. I... I can only hope the same fate does not befall me."

After pausing to allow Simba to speak again, Kovu smirked slightly and responded.

"I appreciate the thought. I really do. And... well, yeah. Of course I'd like to start preparing for my kingship. I can't even begin to describe how underprepared I feel at the moment. I'll take your... training, preparation, whatever you want to call it... anytime you want to give it to me. It will be an honor... Your Majesty."

Kiara could feel the earth shaking under her paws as her Grandmother started hunting the zebras. Her legs were still shaking from the words Vitani said. She didn't want to embarrass her mother again. The nervousness and her will to do everything to show her mother and father she could hunt as good as Vitani and all the other lionesses let her jump out of the grass dashing towards the zebras.

The position which was referred to her was new for her. She never had been in that position and hoped it was the right decission to hunt after the zebras. She just heard Vitani was yelling something. The princess did not understand what she said but noticed she wasn't adressing it to her.
Kiara was looking after her mother just wanting to know if she had done everything right until that moment. But her hope faded away every moment when she was affraid the lioness could still be waiting in the grass.

As Sarabi drew closer the Zebra darted off in the opposite direction, right to her pride mates. As soon as the beasts realized they scattered in utter confusion. Some went to Vitani and Sarafina, another bunch right back at Sarabi and Nala, who pounced on the closest target to take it down with one sheer blow. It was a clean kill, leaving plenty of unspoiled meat.

The final few other were charging down heading to Kiara's location. This was her chance to prove herself Come on Kiara you can do it, don't let us down please. You have worked too long and hard to fail... These were the thought swirling around inside Sarabi's head. Sadly there was nothing she could do to help her grand daughter. Only look on in hope
