Circulation was slowly beginning to return to normal at the tiger's prompting, the slowing blood flow resulting from there not being enough blood to go around. But it was picking back up enough at the tongue rasping over her veins and stained pelt to gradually bring her back to consciousness, although the process was painfully slow. It was nearly nightfall by the time Kina had begun to stir, a small paw twitching in the raising stream water as it slid over her dark pads. Washing away the dirt stuck to them, cool water proceeding to bring her back. Moonlight managed to slip through the leafy canopy overhead, dancing across the dusky lioness' rich pelt. Now there were only dark crimson streaks where the injuries were, the tiger having cleaned the stains away.
A low groan escaped the ravaged female's muzzle as she fully woke, pain shooting through her shoulder and side. Gingerly hauling herself into a normal lying position, Kina's pale gaze traveled around the nearest vicinity. Much to her surprise, a much larger tiger was mere paw steps away. The dark tuft of her tail twitched. He'd obviously been observing her. Perhaps even assisted, judging from the lack of bittersweet smell on her now. Kina winced as she slowly pushed herself into a sitting position, drawing his attention fully. Her injuries were screaming in protest, enticing a wince from the slender female. Being undersized and injured, she was at a severe disadvantage should his temper peak. She wanted to be in the place to evade any on coming paws or jaws.
"... My apologies for invading your territory," Kina murmured, head dipping in a show of meekness. She was in no position to be making enemies. And the desire for survival remained heavy in her mind. To go about further would be to only cause trouble. Her claws remained sheathed, undersized frame simply sitting there. Kina's crystal blue eyes seemed luminescent in the darkness, almost glowing with the faint rays of moonlight that glistened across the clear stream.
