New King

Plot: Simba is killed along with Mufasa in the stampede. During Scar's reign, Nala finds a small lion pride that helps her save the Pridelanders from Scar and Zira.

Nala didn't even know where she was going, where she was and where she was headed to. In an unknown land, the young lioness was weak and hungry. This wasn't the first time she had gotten lost, but now even if she wanted to, she couldn't go back, or Scar would find out her plans. She just kept going... No animal to be found.

As she looked around her in the tall grass, she saw a small lion pride, not far from her. She wasn't in the state to run or fight anyone, but she had no choice but to beg them for some food or at least help her restore the Pride Lands. Knowing that she would starve if she didn't approach the pride, so she decided to approach the pride, deeply hoping that they would understand.

Spending some quality time with his mate and pride queen, Dixon noticed a strange lioness far off in the grass, heading their way. He couldn't tell for sure, but from the looks of her, he thought she looked starved and thirsty. He rose to his giant paws and looked for a moment, before turning to his mate and asking, Shall we go to greet our guest? Kara replied affirmatively and stood next to her mate. The two looked like opposites - Dixon's white fur contrasting Kara's black fur; but they were closer to each other than to anyone else.

Kara turned her head to Baya. Are you going to come with us, Baya? she asked, half-expecting him to opt to stay behind.

Baya sneered. Another lioness? We barely manage to survive, yet they want more lionesses? He couldn't stand it anymore, but he had no other choice if he wanted to stay in the pride. That didn't mean he'd have a better attitude towards them... He'd rather be the leader himself. He almost growled when he was asked to go greet the traitor, but he had to do it if he didn't want Dixon and Kara to kick him out because of bad behaviour.

"If you insist.", Baya coldly answered as he stood up from his relaxing spot under a big tree and followed them.

Dixon and Kara made annoyed expressions to each other in reference to Baya, and began walking toward the emaciated lioness in the distance. Hello, out there! Are you alright? Dixon called out as he padded toward the lioness, his huge paws making a thud with each step, in contrast to his light-treading mate. She listened carefully for a reply from the lioness as did Dixon as they walked through the tall grass. It wasn't often someone new arrived, and they hoped it was a friend rather than a foe. Behind, some of the pride lionesses talked about who the new lioness could be.

Nala heard a lion calling her, and within a second she had noticed two lions and a lioness from the pride coming towards her. She hesitated to encounter them at first, but then she remembered the state of the Pride Lands. That thought immediately made her snap out of it. She rushed to the lions and the lioness and soon she was just in front of them. Believing the white lion to be the leader, she spoke to him like she would to a King.

''Greetings, Sire. I'm a lioness from the Pride Lands in need of serious help..'', Nala told the leader, breathless.

Dixon was immediately worried, hearing Nala's statement and seeing her emaciated body up close. Do have some water at our lake, and then tell us your troubles over a meal. You look as if you're about to drop dead! Kara butted in, shocking Dixon. Erm, yes. the white lion said, trying to keep from becoming an awkward presence for Nala. Kara motioned toward a lake nearby, and began to walk there with her mate.

Nala faintly smiled at the leader and the lioness. Scar and Zira weren't the least bit like them... All they wanted was the power to do whatever they want, even if it meant killing someone. But the third lion... it had yet to say anything, it only had an emotionless expression that creeped her out for some reason... but she ignored him.

''Thank you.'', she said as she followed them, with Baya following them from the behind.

When the group reached the lake, Dixon and Kara nuzzled each other a bit as they waded in, standing in such a way that only their backs and heads were above water. They invited Nala to drink or come in if she wished, while they went underwater and played a little. The two then came up, their entire bodies soaked, and looked at Baya. You coming in? Dixon asked sarcastically, watching to see if Nala was drinking yet.

Nala smiled gently as she stopped to drink some water to satisfy her thirst. She hadn't drank anything for days as she couldn't find water anywhere... Not even her homeland. The land she just found was like heaven to her. If only Scar was like that leader... Sometimes she just couldn't believe he's part of the Royal Family.

Meanwhile, Baya sneered at Dixon's comment as he watched the couple playing in the water. The acted like cubs to him. He sat under a tree and waited for them to stop playing. He had no thoughts for the stranger lioness yet, but he hoped she'd leave as soon as possible.
