The outlands, dead and barren, almost hollow and devoid completely of life. Simba saw it fit that Zira and her supporters be banished here, as it reflected how twisted their ideology and mind sets were. Zira found it difficult at first, but she noticed something. It fueled the pride's hatred for Simba. The lack of food, water and safety was something that drove these lionesses mad. Instead of blaming Zira for not being able to provide, they blamed Simba for banishing them.
Using their hatred, Zira convinced the other lionesses of a plan to overthrow Simba and take the pridelands for themselves once more. Zira pointed out that the key to this plan was none other than her son, Kovu, who was only a few weeks old at the time. Things were seemingly going as planned until her little Kovu was caught playing with little princess Kiara. From there, Zira developed a concrete plan. To train Kovu to be an assassin, and to send him into the pridelands seeking mercy from Simba. From there, he could easily get close and kill him! Then Kovu would rule supreme, in Scar's place and the suffering of the outlanders would end!
With the development of this plan, came other changes to the outlander pride. For one, several rogues decided to join their cause; one in particular drawing her attention. He wasn't too much older than Vitani, but he was very aggressive. Aggressive and easily manipulated. Zira offered him shelter in her pride, and to teach him how to fight in exchange for his undying loyalty. He agreed, knowing that he would be killed if he refused. Though the look in his eye suggested he wouldn't go down without taking an eye or Zira's other ear.
His name was Baya, and he seemed to have built a bit of a bond with Vitani over the past few days. At first, he was hesitant of speaking with anyone except her and even then he spoke simple and coldly. Zira noticed that the two tended to fight alot more than regular cubs would, and it pleased her to see Baya's enthusiasm for battle, while at the same time Vitani was honing her skills from such a young age.
There were two other rogues, one by the name of Ayari and the other by the name of Songo. Ayari was a pale furred, and blonde maned lion with a very scrawny appearance. Though, it was clear that he was able and willing to fight for her side, if it meant bringing the pride landers to justice. Such a miserable word that was. Justice.
The last, was Songo. She was simply a young lioness dragging across the desert in need of food and water; which Zira gladly offered in her future for years to come. Since she was still young, it meant that it was possible for her to get some training too. It was clear, that Zira's power was growing and that Simba's fate was sealed.
On this particular morning, Nuka was sitting outside with Vitani, whom was tugging at the same tree branch she normally was. "Pfft. Stupid termite Kovu gets all the food...get's all the attention...EVERYTHING!" Nuka growled as he itched his shoulder roughly. He looked to Vitani with a slight snort. "You know that ain't gonna make you any stronger Tani. It's just gonna whip you in the face and maybe build some pain tolerance." Nuka pointed out with a smirk. At that instant, the branch was let go and whipped HIM on the nose.
"Ow! You little -" Nuka growled as he rubbed his nose. He sighed. "So what's up with you and that new creepy Baya? Whenever I talk to him, he just ignores me...pfft...stupid termite..." Nuka snorted. If there was one thing he didn't appreciate, it was being ignored by those smaller and younger than him. Baya not only ignored him, but actually pushed him around too! For a cub, he rarely smiled and his eyes had an eerie emptiness to them.
"Why do you hang around him anyway? Besides the fact that he's always ready to beat you in a fight?" Nuka asked with a look of concern and confusion at the same time.

Ayari sighed as he watched two lioness outside fighting over some scraps of meat. His blond mane drooped over slightly onto his muzzle. His pale blue eyes watched until he could no longer allow this senseless fighting to go on! Ayari let out a roar and the two lionesses stopped for a moment. He evenly portioned the scrap of meat and gave one to each lioness. They still growled at one another, but walked off with their piece.
Ayari let out a sigh. It really hurt him to see creatures fight over such things. One would not believe someone with so much virtue was a rogue, but that is exactly what kept him alive. He was very battle ready, but he would rarely resort to violence over reason. Justice; Ayari's most dearly held virtue. What's fair and equal should be applied, and no one deserved more than another. That was why he had to step in between these lionesses.
Ayari looked behind him and noticed Songo trotting up to him. They usually talked alot with each other, both being new addition's to Zira's pride. She was very young, and was always eager to listen to his theories on virtue and the application of the latter. He was hoping he could make her see his way, and perhaps start a movement of virtue across the land! "Well, good afternoon." Ayari said with a smile.
