Ukame ran through the massive field of bones, looking to her left and right to make sure Tuli and Nakaii were following along. Her emerald green eyes stopped darting back and forth when their path was cut off by a pale and scarred lioness. Ukame frowned as she skidded to a halt. Tuli did the same but just ended up falling over.
"My, oh my. Such...grace." The female before them purred, not having a completely sane look in her eye. Ukame looked to her sister and Tuli once more, hoping they could just separate and regroup in the pridelands. That was a good plan, right?
The plan was short lived, as two other lioness appeared from the skulls of elephants and surrounded them.
"Now tell me, why would those silly pride landers send little cubs to spy on my precious Mrithi?" The pale female asked, a very odd look of amusement on her face. "Perhaps, to try and retain mercy if you were caught?"
"No! We aren't spies! We just wanted to look around! Mrithi already said we could -"
"You will address him as KING in my presence! King Mrithi!" The female snarled. Tuli whimpered.
"I knew this was a bad idea! Now we are done for! Straight up done for!" Tuli whimpered.
"Shut up Tuli! We ain't going to die at the hands of this loony thing here." Ukame said, nice and loud for the female to hear.
"You think I'm loony? Well, at the very least...I'm alive! Hahaha!" The female snarled as she nodded to her companions. They began to close in on them. Within a flash, the female roared as a male came in on the scene.
"Father!" Ukame gasped, watching mouth agape as Baya had pounced onto the female and thrown her aside. He then turned to his daughters and Tuli.
"Run. NOW!" Baya roared, not wanting to waste time arguing with Ukame or Nakaii. Ukame reluctantly listened, even though she wanted to see her dad fight. She and Tuli began to run once more, with Ukame looking to Nakaii once again making sure she was there. When they got back to priderock, Vitani and Kovu were waiting at the base. Tupa was also waiting at the base, nuzzling her terrified son.
"You are in so much trouble..." Kovu said with a disappointed look at his two nieces. "You are lucky Zazu told us where you three ran off too...Where's Baya?" Kovu asked.
"Da-Dad's fighting some lionesses! We saw a lion named Mrithi in the elephant graveyard and-and this crazy lioness blocked us off before we left and -" Ukame began to trail off, tears beginning to form. Why was she crying? She was supposed to be brave, and strong! Just like her father and mother. And here she was. Letting her fears finally get to her.
