Uzuri smirked as she walked under a rather large and sturdy tree. She concentrated her gaze upon the soft bark of the tree and ejected her claws. She stuck her tongue out and licked her lips. With a high pitched yelp she jumped upon the tree, and stuck her claws into the soft bark. When she had a sturdy grip on the tree, she quickly back to actually climb up the tree until she was on a branch. She laid her torso down on the branch and let her limbs dangle, along with her tail. "I don't think it would be safe for you to do it just yet, but at least I could teach you right? By the way, if we are supposed to eat monkeys how could we do that if they are up in the trees?" Uzuri pointed out with a grin. She knew full well there wasn't many monkey's around her to eat, and that a lion in their right mind wouldn't waste their time climbing like Uzuri did.

"So Penda..." Uzuri said quietly, deep in thought. "What do you think about love?" Uzuri asked, looking to the cub with a bored expression. She had her own views on love, so did her father and she figured she should get the opinion of the innocent adorable Penda.

Shwari smirked at Zina's suggestion and nuzzled her back. "You make it sound like it's a bad thing." Shwari purred quietly as his paw went over his mate's. Alot had changed, and yet not so much had. Zina was still a very seductive tease when the young ones weren't around. Though Shwari got annoyed at her over this at times, it was still amusing to him when he thought about it. She enjoyed teasing him, he could tell from the very beginning.

"Ok. Well, I suppose we'll leave you to your...activities." Kiara said, trying to chose her words wisely. "We will be sure to bring the little ones along some day, when they are older. It would be nice for them to see other lands and get some experience regarding the terrain." Kiara stated in a very queenly manner. Shwari nodded in agreement.

"Perhaps I'll even bring Penda over to the pride lands one day for a visit. She would love to explore the lands there." Shwari said with a fond chuckle. Shwari looked to his mate then to the two females in front of him. He nodded at them. "It was great to see you two. I'm sorry we couldn't plan for your arrival. There would've been more...lionesses awake." Shwari said with a frown looking around with slight annoyance. He kissed his teeth and stretched.

Teso looked in horror at the rogue before him, placing her paw under his chin and staining his fur with blood. He could feel himself shaking as she stared boldly into his eyes, sending him the glance of death before releasing him. He found her quite intimidating, and quite gruesome to be put boldly. However as gruesome as she was, she had more of a mind then a simple everyday rogue. Something was much more different about this lioness. Teso's train of thought halted to a stop as he heard his brother calling him. Teso began to walk out of the den when his ear's flicked at Zira's comment. Teso had no clue what her message had meant, but he wasn't going to stick around and ask.

Teso began to walk with his cousin and brother slowly through the sands of the outlands towards the soft Savannah of the pridelands. Teso quickly made his way to a watering hole and washed the dried blood from his face to avoid any questioning from his parents. "Fuma, Karima. We have to lie. We can't tell mom and dad what happened." Teso murmured quietly looking at his reflection. "We'll get in so much trouble..." Teso said with slight fear in his tone. What was he thinking? Running to the outlands? Jumping in the middle of a rogue battle? Had he gone insane? Why did he ignore his father's rules like that? That wasn't like him at all.

"If dad asks tell him we ran to the pridelands because we got bored with his patrol." Teso said towards his brother more then Karima. He knew Karima would be quiet about it, but he was not really sure about Fuma.

Keeping a watchful eye over her cousin as the two of them halted next to an overgrown tree, Penda took this time to rest her paws as she sat down upon her haunches and gazed over to Uzuri with a quizzical stare. Before she could say anything however, the nimble lioness had already leapt towards the trunk of the tree and was effortlessly scaling herself upwards, much to the amazement of the white furred cub. Noticing Uzuri taking up a leisurely spot atop one of the thick branches of the tree itself now, Penda looked overly excited from the feat that her cousin had just performed in front of her very eyes. Penda herself, was right about to bound forward to try and mirror Uzuri’s actions, when her cousin’s words cut her movement short. Gazing upwards and realizing just how high Uzuri was, Penda’s better judgment won out in the end as she nodded and responded in agreement.

”Yeah, probably not Zuri. Maybe when I’m as big and strong as you are, I bet I could though!”

Figuring that the two of them weren’t going to go anywhere anytime soon, Penda lazily flopped herself upon her back so she could stare up at Uzuri while relaxing herself. Hearing her cousin’s next question, Penda couldn’t help but to giggle as she once again, missed the point of what Uzuri was truly speaking of. For Penda, the only form of love she knew existed, was the love she felt towards both her parents, as well as the feelings they felt towards her, which in turn were pretty much mutual. Being blissfully unaware of what type of love Uzuri was referring to, Penda piped up in a happy tone as her little tail swished to and fro upon the ground below her.

”Hmm? Like how Zina and Schwari love me Zuri? I think it’s the best thing ever! How could anything be better than that? Doesn’t Husudu love you just as much as my parents love me Zuri?”

Seeing that Kiara was ready to call it a day, Vitani politely rose to her paws and performed a quick bow to both Zina and Schwari as a sign of respect. Moving in close, the former Outlander gave each of her friends a fond nuzzle before waving a fore paw and saying her farewells.

You two take good care now and be sure to tell Uzuri, little Penda and even Husudu, that we both wish them the best and love them all. We’ll see you sometime soon and that sounds great Schwari. Until then…”

Turning to take her leave, Vitani followed Kiara back down the path to which they had come previously, the happy faces of both Penda and Uzuri still keeping her spirits high as the two felines traveled back towards The Pride Lands. Knowing that she’d have to inform Ayari tonight, about what happened to Siri and her cub, Vitani just hoped that her mate was having a good enough day himself, so he’d take the news better. Arriving back at the river, Vitani took lead as she plunged herself into the cool water before paddling over to the opposite bank. Hoisting herself out and giving her soaked pelt a thorough shake, Vitani glanced over to the golden furred queen as she addressed her friend in an appreciative voice.

”Thanks again for coming along with me today Kiara. It really was nice to get out and was especially great to visit with our friends. That was a good idea you had there. Hopefully our mates didn’t miss us too much though. Let’s hurry home so we can fill them both in on everything new, okay?”

Keeping up a brisk pace, Karima followed Teso back into familiar territory as the trio of cubs returned back to The Pride Lands. Stopping by one of the various waterholes so that Teso could clean himself off momentarily, Karima caught her breath as she listened to what Teso was saying. She had no qualms with telling a fib in order to get out of trouble with her parents and especially Ayari, although she did feel bad about it. Still, knowing how things could have turned out, Karima was willing to do pretty much anything at this point in order to forget about the days events. Nodding slowly, Karima replied to Teso in a supportive voice before taking a quick drink from the clear pool of water.

”Gotcha Tessy. I won’t say nothing’ if Ayari or my parents ask. Ya know you can count on me.”

Fumu had stayed quiet the whole trip back. Being quite worried himself about what the outcome would be for the three of them, even being back in The Pride Lands wasn’t enough to quell his concern as he paused alongside his cousin and brother at the waterhole. Frowning slightly after hearing Teso’s plan, Fumu wanted so desperately to speak up against it, yet after witnessing Karima’s confirmation towards her brother’s idea, Fumu knew it would be pointless to argue as he was already outnumbered two to one. Sighing dejectedly, Fumu nodded halfheartedly as he spoke up in an uncertain tone.

”Fine…I guess, but we’re going to be in trouble either way Teso. We weren’t supposed to run off like that either way, so what difference does it really matter? Dad’s going to chew us out regardless. At least we escaped from those stupid rogues though.”
