Laini ran to her mother. "Mom! Is my father really dead?" Laini started getting tears in her eyes. "Yes...he is Laini....I love you..." Then, Sarabi fell on priderock. "Mom!" Laini nudged Sarabi, but Sarabi didn't get up.

"What's going on out here?" Kovu asked as he came out sleepily. Adhabu growled when he noticed Kovu came out and about.
