How do you tell your gender when you don't care about gender

I'm biologically female and my mindset could be seen as a tomboyish female. I don't consider myself male but I don't consider myself female. Well, I don't know if I consider myself female. If I knew what my gender was, then I wouldn't be confused now would I?

I once thought I was Androgyne. But I doubt it. I'm still pretty feminine..I think. Now that I think about it, I'm not all that feminine. But neither am I masculine. I'm defiantly neither masculine nor feminine.

Also, I don't seem so Androgyne outside of my mind.
I don't really don't care for genders. I don't really understand what's so important about them, or what makes someone male, female, etc. But I'm still curious what mine is.

But since I don't think of people as male or female, or have a good grasp on such social concepts, I can't understand if I'm male, female, or other. I've always been very, very gender neutral on my thoughts of others. I don't consider things, or people, feminine or masculine. As far as I'm concerned, there should just be one gender.

I refer to myself using female pronouns, I possibly do consider myself female, and I do think I have a somewhat feminine mindset. But femininity or masculinity really has nothing to do with gender.

Gender is such a confusing social identification..
I'll just say I'm female until now. I guess that is most likely my gender though.

*Sniff* Is this.. is this a somewhat inerlectual discussion I am smelling? Oh boy I do enjoy these kinds of topics, although I don't think they belong here at MLK my friend. There are other sites for these kinds of talks, never the less I shall give you my opinion on the topic and the message you have put out.

Ok the first thing i'd like to comment on is: the thread title and to give you my thoughts on the question you asked in it. Not caring about genders does not mean you do not have one, to think otherwise is dilusional IMO, unless you can tell me what makes you not caring about your gender (or the generalisation thereof) in any way should effect yours? Plenty of stuff I don't care about, but I still know is there, but hey ho ignorance is bliss I guess.

My next point pretty much is my entire opinion on the subject as there is little to discuss in my opinion. Your personality wether you act or just have thoughts that may be considered "transgender" does not effect your true biological gender. To make my point more understandable here: Your personality does not effect your gender.. Biology just simply does not work that way. And if you already know this, then how / why are are you gender confused? It sounds to me like you are just a bit of a tomboysih female in terms of how you act / think. Which wouldn't you know, still makes you female.

Also the inconsistency of your opinion is somewhat baffling me. I will not point out where the inconsistency really shines in that OP because I don't want to give the impression of belittleing/flaming at all. I'll just say it looks like you have made that up as you go along, you might find it easyer to plan out how you will get your thoughts across before you write. Because it saves the people reading from becoming confused, and will help them to understand your point that much better.

Basically though, there is one way to be sure of what gender you are and I think you know what that is . <-- That is all I was going to put in response to this topic but I figured i'd expand on it, otherwise my opinion in a nutshell is that and /Topic.

Presumably you agree with it because it is a fact. And as part of a Lion King Forum, i'd say it is somewhat inappropriate, I have seen less warranted topics locked than this one. Although can I just point out that, I didn't say it was inappropriate? What I did say is that I do not think it belongs on a Lion King forum, because there are places that would offer her better opinions from people with similair experiences.

I think perhaps what Flip is saying is that there are other sites where this topic might wield more fruitful and considered replies than on primarily Lion King board. However, I think Hearts posted it because she wanted our opinion on things, neh?

your personality and views have no affect on your gender. and technically getting surgerory doesn't REALLY change that much because of the chromosomes and hormones and a person's body.

I'm a tomboy myself. not necessarily extremely so, but I certainly scoff at anyone who tries to fit me into the girly stereotype. but still, I'm a female and proudly so. it's not the stereotype or generalized "template" that determines someones gender, especially at this day and time when people are far more open about their particular orientation and personalities.
