So The End of 2016 comes to a close

It has most certainly been a turbulent year with all the celebrity deaths, Brexit, Trump, and who knows what else, its easy to get lost in the downward spiral. So to spread a little joy I ask two questions of you all:

Whats one thing this year you will always look back and smile on?

Who on the forum do you wish to give thanks to?


One memory I will always take with me from this year will be the convention Confuzzled. I has a rough an uncertain path at the start of the year. This con came as my life started to get back together. I spent it with the people I love and care for the most

As for people.. its hard to pick. If it had to be one it would be Moka. Without him there would be no MLK, but that goes for all of you as well. Yeah I don't know everyone, some people I might not get on with, but you all make this forum what it is, and its a joy to see. I wish you all a happy festive season and best wishes in 2017!

Norway and Poland, of course. Both memories are so damn pleasant and amazing they will always be a part of me, tbh.

For a person... definitely SH, considering he made this all possible. Sorry about tonight, I'll always love and appreciate the help you've given me, you've given me emotions and memories never thought possible and I'll never stop appreciating that whatever happens.

Whats one thing this year you will always look back and smile on?

Hm This is a hard one. I'll probably say, when I finally joined the Voltron Fandom. This is kind of a silly answer, but I've met some amazing people in the fandom, and the series brings me so much hapiness, I couldn't be more thankful!


Who on the forum do you wish to give thanks to?

I don't know many people here on MLK (which is my fault) but I'd like to thank, specially, Marizzle, she knows how much she meants to me so I'll not extend this much! :p

I'd like to thank other members I talk to from time to time (or talked to some time ago) like: Carl, EJ (The Lionvengers), KK, and GeminiGemelo! I enjoyed talking with you guys, hope we can do it again some day!

The best thing about this year? Um, we got a pretty awesome DOOM sequel/reboot.

Overall this year has been full of crazy.

Who would I give thanks to? Carl. The Lion Prince, Captain Cupcake and 10-15 others I don't have the time to mention.

Yeah 2016 sucked, I'm looking forward to seeing the back end of it.

I'd look back on and smile: I actually started to do like actual travelling and exploration this year and I'm so very glad I did. I'm telling you, if you have any thoughts about travelling, do it.
I think my favourite thing this year was probably running my first half marathon at Paris this September, as well as just the trip in general, its a real pretty place to be honest.

Who on MLK I'd like to thank: All the new friends I have made as well as the old ones who have returned and I get on with just as well now as I did years ago. Simbaholic, Kops, Amanda, Jose, Janna, Miko, Sarger, Malibu and everyone else I have been talking to regularly / somewhat regularly recently. Honestly you all bought my love for this site back I think. I was posting on here the past couple of years every now and then but since I had no friends on here really I just didn't really bother with it thinking that no one cared anyway. and then everyone suddenly started to return. Now I feel like I'm actually a part of the community again and not just y'know, posting for the sake of having nothing else better to do. That means I'm putting more thought into my posts again and trying to contribute actual conversations and fan projects etc. I appreciate you all. I make jokes about it but honestly, this was a better year for MLK simply because you all started posting again

The Animals of Farthing Wood coming out on DVD........... actually no, that's a very close second, but actually it has to be Shadowfax's wedding. It was just a really beautiful, lovely day. The sun was shining, everyone had fun and, thanks to a road accident causing delays, even the traditional bride being late drama (although with the twist of half her family being even later! )

Shadowfax, for having been one of my best friends / adopted sister for the last nearly 8 years, and putting up with me all that time. Apparently, if a friendship lasts for 7 years, it's likely to last for life. So yeah, sorry Kay, looks like you're stuck with me.

Aw Flip, no problem. Always enjoy the random chit chat we do in the chatroom occasionally, it's pretty fun and I do look forward to it when you're around.

I'd like to thank Tora for always being there for me when I felt down and continues to do so. He has done so much for me that he doesn't even know how much it really means to me. I couldn't have a better friend like him by my side. I would also like to thank Kops and SH for keeping their faith in me and also knowing who I really am at heart. I can't mention everyone but I still love each and one of you on here. I basically grew up on this board. I joined when I was 13 years old and now here I am 22, still posting (but probably not as much as I did when I first joined). I have seen SO much changes the forum has had through the years! I love this place and each and everyone of you make it a special place to be. Here is another year on MLK and many more! *throws confetti*

2016 started off lame for me, what with losing my old horse and my best friend in the horse world to cancer in the same month. That was tough to deal with. Really tough.

But I guess my top highlight would be my wedding, tied with my daughters first birthday. It was such a lovely month and I was so happy to celebrate my little one turning one and marrying the love of my life.

As for MLK person, I think that too goes to Si-Amber :3 We've had some lovely meet ups and I always like seeing your posts around here too ^-^

Honestly, it's been a garbage year for me. Can't think of a specific memory to smile back on, really. Generally, I cherish all the times I spent with my cat, who was forever by my side and always affectionate and cuddly every time I came home. It's good to know she was loved and coddled right until her last day.

I appreciate the hell out of a lot of people here. You guys are what make MLK what it is. So I want to thank everyone, but I will also give a special shout out to my friend Tabby for being such a hilarious, awesome, and supportive friend who totally gets me.
