Things You Have Given Away

This just came to my mind. What kinds of things did you ever give away by choice or not? These can even be stories if the stuff had an impact on your life, if possible.

For me, I have recently given away ALL of my Madagascar collection. This was a few weeks ago. I had Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa on DVD, 6 plushies (Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria, and 2 Skipper plushies), the Madagascar Soundtrack CD, a small blue Madagascar backpack (This disappeared way before I gave the collection away), and some picture books. Back in November 2008, I had a Happy Meal from McDonalds and they had Madagascar 2 toys. I got a Skipper figurine and I even saved the box. As I was giving the collection away, I threw away the Skipper figurine and the box too. Also, I used to write about the movies in my very old journal (typed and pasted into it). I went back into my old journal where it had the typed entries about Madagascar and I really ripped everything out that was Madagascar related (even the Madagascar pictures I had in there) and threw it all in the garbage. I was confident about doing this. This was something I had to do and I made a great sacrifice. I truly, truly, truly cannot stand Madagascar now and I am no longer a fan of it. This collection was given to my second cousin.

Along with the Madagascar collection, I also gave away some DVDs that I didn't want anymore. (The Ant Bully, and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.)

The last thing I remember giving away was like giving my den to SH last year because I was leaving. Sad that I can't remember anything else... xD

I remember that I gave away some of my stuffed animal plushies as my room was being redecorated after a few years. I had to get rid of my shelves because I grew taller and I would now reach the point where I would hit my head easily onto the bottom shelf. I can't remember exactly which plushies I gave away but I do remember that I used to have a purple Teletubbies plushie ( ) and I gave that away. It also got way too dirty with dust when I used to have it up there.

I've given away my original iPod touch and my hamster Cali because the house I was staying in would only let me keep one hamster.

I gave away all my little toy figurines. Which I kind of regret. It wasn't really my choice, but I miss looking at my mini Lion King figurines as well as my mini dinos. My dad decided to give my toys to his buddy's kid. And I guess Thomas (the kid) would have more use of them. But I still miss them because they were part of my childhood.

Other than that there's my clothes which we give to the salvation army

I have given away many of my Little Critter books. I miss reading those so much. I read them all the time when I was a cubby. Same goes for the Bearstein Bear books too. I gave both series away to my little cousins. Ahh...good times.
