Mythical Creatures

Just a place to discuss Mythical creatures. I've always had a liking for myths and legends of things like this. My favorites are dragons, phoenixes and sea & lake monsters. What are your opinions? And if I missed any Mythical creatures, tell me and I'll put them up. I've made a list of Mythical creatures that didn't make it up into the voting.

I've cast my vote for Bigfoot. Seriously, I beleive in Bigfoot and I'm not afraid to say so. I've witnessed it before... *shudders* I've seen it in my woods before and I'm now reluctant to go into it alone.

I personally love dragons, griffins, werewolves and phoenixes the best. I love reading about them, I find such stories fascinating.

And LOL @ Bigfoot sig thing, using it when other people use it for their religious views is a bit.. offensive don't you think?

Lol: My first reaction when I read the title to this thread was "Aurora!". If you look it up, you come across two main results: The natural patterns in the polar skies formed by the magnetic field around the Earth, and a mythical aircraft.

Somehow, I swore that the Aurora was somehow connected to mythical creatures, and in a way, it is. It is humanity's mythical aircraft. One of the ultimate myths in human engineering. But because it's not a creature, I guess that it doesn't count. I want it to, but it doesn't. Add Aurora for teh lolz?

As for actual creatures, I will go with Nessie, because while it's existence is well, 0 (doesn't exist), as a "surviving dinosaur", it's a mythical creature that really lived. Some 80 million years ago +.
