What would you think?

Postby UncoordinatedPisces » May 18th, 2011, 6:18 pm

Someone who goes to my high school and went to my primary school has just been diagnosed with cancer....

But the thing is, he was a really big bully, he bullied all the people that had problems. The people who weren't smart, the way the looked, if they had diagnosed problems like me....So I was thinking, I wasn't happy he had cancer, but in a way, I was....it sounds bad. I was pretty shocked when I found out.

I just wanted to know what you guys would think?

I believe this belongs to The Den.

Okay, he was definately asking for it for that, but it's still terrible for him to get cancer. He might actually die D: Hopefully he'll recover and treat people better. And besides, we need bullies. How else would we learn how to treat with people like them when we reached adulthood? They're part of life.

That's a tough question indeed..I guess in a way I'd feel like he deserves it, as horrible as it might sound. But cancer is a terrible disease. It might also be important to remember that usually, the one hurting others is the one suffering the most. Who knows what's been making him act like this. It's certainly not unlikely that somewhere deep down, he is also a victim. That's what makes it complicated I guess.

No-one deserves to die or be erased from the Earth, no matter what they do or crime they commit. All life is sacred, human life, plant life, animal life. It's terrible they way he treated people, but also awful what's happening to him. The people he bullied will hopefully get over the abuse, and be able to move on, but if this boy dies, his whole family will be devastated [i'd imagine]. They'd probably never get over it. When he gets better, I hope he realises how awful it feels to be on the brink of death like that, or at least stops bullying people...

Nobody deserves cancer, not even to die even though that he has bullied people in the past. Bullies usually bully for particular reasons, but no person deserves anything bad to happen to them unless if they're a murder, but that's a different case. It's his journey to have cancer, and he needs to know how it feels. We all have a journey, we just need to not focous on finding it because it pops up at the randomest times. Anyways, that is just my opinion. Maybe he thinks poorly of himself, so he got cancer. My belief is that if you think poorly of yourself, you will have poor health and well-being. Or maybe he is destined to have it and needs to find out what pain really feels like. That possibly made no sense, but I think it did and it's just my opinion and how I think on life. :nehneh:

Actually, this reminds me of an article on cracked.com I read yesterday:
So I retreat to my own forums, and find out turbo evangelist Jerry Falwell had died that day. The reaction?

http://cdn-www.cracked.com/articleimage ... thread.jpg

I mean, that thing I said I said earlier about not celebrating the death of somebody you disagree with... that still counts for a bitter, uncompromising old fart like Falwell, right? We're civilized people. We can celebrate him changing his mind, or even celebrate him being made to look like a fool in public.

But you start cheering his death, you've walked away from the one single baseline every remotely moral person has ever agreed on: the value of human life. And I know we all agree on that, because we can all think of people we could've otherwise stabbed and gotten away with it.
I couldn't agree more with that person (heck, I was surprised when I saw cheering on OSAMA BIN LADEN's death.. and I didn't even like the dude). Nobody deserves to die.

By the way, I got to know the bullies at my school. They're actually like all other students, they just have a weird sense of humor. They're normal people living regular lives.

Even comparing bullying people to getting cancer is completely absurd. Getting bullied is tough. Getting cancer is terrifying, traumatizing, and excruciatingly painful (physically and emotionally), for the child and his family.

And nobody bullies for no reason. Like somebody said, often the people who hurt are the ones who are hurting the most. "Be kind to all, you know not the battles they face." I really pray that this person is okay, and then perhaps if he is okay, he can begin turning the experience into a positive one. Start valuing his time here more, get his priorities in order, and change his ways. I understand where your coming from, the way it might sort of seem like he's getting what he deserves, but this retribution is order of magnitude more than deserves.

Life is odd, we can not cheer for someone who probably hate it, go through a bad time, even worse, one that endangers her life. I would not say that nobody deserves to die, I'd say he would not deserves to die for being a bully, but here in the world, people so evil, they do not deserve anything else.

But life does not work that way, anyone can give you cancer, even the nicest person in the world as the worst, or myself.

A person may deserve it, but would not be right, feel good about it. About the bully, I hope he survives, and realize that if he gets another chance is to open eyes.
