Hey guys! FlipMode here as you can tell by the fact it said FlipMode to the left and if you can not then pay attention, because in this thread... Well let us talk about the news shall we? Now by news I do not mean to post about the latest Iraqi war updates or the stock exchange rates for capitalist investment opportunities.
No, indeed I mean entertaining news, down right silly/unbelievable news stories. Discuss them here, share them and things, and also stuff.

Now they do not HAVE to be new, but you get a statue from the shrine of the Silver Monkey if they are.
So allow me to start with an interesting (possibly not true) one that has been going around since the 1960s so the story is that this guy bought some freaking expensive imported cigars, and insured them against fire. Then he smoked them, so they technically burned away and he claimed off the insurance and WON.
Now IF that was not KERAZY enough, the insurance company sued him for arson (setting fire to insure goods) and WON their money back from him.Needless to say, I loled

Also here is another current story (real this time) Sony have sued "famous" hacker George "GeoHot" Hotz who recently successfully hacked into a PS3 and released his findings to the world via the internet, allowing piracy very soon on the console. Anyone who has hacked their Ipod touch or IPhone... You can thank this man for that. But they did not have a case as he was not profiting or providing the tools himself for piracy, now what is going around is that Sony had sent him $1 via paypal donation on his own web site to prove he was hacking for profit. which IS illegal
