Make me an admin or I quit!!

Ever ran into this issue? I never, but if I did, I would let them quit. Even if its my friend. That is just rude, and unprofessional. I just hate those type of people. Pretty annoying if you ask me

If you're talking about people who go about trying to become staff on a website in the entirely wrong way, I feel you. Someone like that was on my forum lol

Lots of people do this on really popular sites in a try to get famous fast way but unless they actually have something on the site i dont think that its ever worked

Well, im mainly talking about a staff wanting to be an admin. Never ran into this issue, but someone was talking about it on a forum.

Be happy with your position, simple as that.

Oh that, lol. I've never really had that problem, but I can imagine how it could arise. On a site like MLK that's not really an issue, since there is only one level of staff short of being the admin/owner.

Wow, not alot people ran into this issue. Not even me, owning websites for almost 5 years...

But my friend on MSN did, and all he said is "If they want to quit, let them quit, their choice".
Anyone owning a forum, if you run into this issue, just say no, even if they are desperate.

As far as I'm concerned, if they really wanted it that badly, they should try and make themselves an outstanding member. But the way stated is bad publicity, and definately won't work, unless the admin is very gullible.

But staff shouldn't behave like this in the first place, and I don't see how the problem would arise... unless you/they were to choose untrustworthy people. =/

The worst part is that the staff member usually has no idea how to work an ACP or any idea exactly just what it is admins do. But yeah, I've run into that problem in the past, and I generally say if you say "make me admin or i quit", neither things happen. They get fired. =P
