What am I doing wrong? There's no way these crumby jobs are all that's available in my town. I know it's a small, crappy town, but I refuse to believe there's nothing decent here. How do I find it? There's gotta be something to this that I'm just missing.

Aside from the obvious "know people" that I have no clue how one goes about doing.

Ah. Well, the second trailer was an improvement over the first. I will forgive them for any flaws in the film if at one point the mmpr theme plays.

Last night it kind of occurred to me that most of my hobbies/things I do with my spare time at home (writing, drawing, bingeing on Wikipedia, language learning, video games, even cooking) require either my computer or a source of electricity. I really need to fix that.

Maybe I should ask the textiles manager more about that card weaving thing. That looked really cool, and since I liked weaving on a loom... I dunno. That could be neat.

Why do all of these ONLINE writing jobs require you to actually be in their office in New York or San Francisco or something stupid? This is the age of technology, is it not? Your content is published online, is it not? So why can I not do it from here?

This stone age thinking is why I don't have a decent job already.
