^ My issue with that kind of view is that being LGBT is not remotely like lying, stealing, or whatever else. Those kinds of things are dishonest and can cause harm to people. Being LGBT does not harm anyone. I don't subscribe to the idea of sins, as I'm not Christian, but I'm of the belief that labeling something that differs from your lifestyle, but does not cause harm to someone as a sin is deeply problematic, even if you're lightening it by saying everyone lives in sin. Your mom has a more level-headed view than most who view things like being LGBT as sinful, but her views still make it sound like being LGBT is something one should feel sorry, when it's not something to be ashamed of at all.

Yeah I agree. It's still a more fair way of looking at things, at least.

I'm an agnostic myself and I don't care all that much about sin. I just try to be a good person and apologize if anything I do does hurt someone.

^ Same. I really think that's the best way to go about life anyway. What people do in their private life is not my business, as long as it's not harmful. But deliberately harming others is wrong.

I hope my mom manages to get a better handle on her anxiety. I told her to try and remain calm when something stressful happens, as stressing about it isn't going to help. The anti-depressants she's been taking are helping, thankfully.

Luckily, Riley and I have gotten into stressful situations before, such as the time we went to an anime convention, and he couldn't remember where he parked. I remained calm then. So I know I'm good at being a rock.

Well that's just great! I was so full of anticipation for the sweatshirt I bought to see what it looked like. But when I took it out of the package, it was unusually large. And what do ya know? it was an XL! Pretty frustrating when you wear two sizes smaller than that... Now I have to package it up again, wait for the company to respond to the email about returning it, and then wait... And wait... And then wait some more... :thoughtful2:

Talked to a couple neighbors and they didn't unknowingly take Sid in.

The rain seems to have stopped. Provided it doesn't start up again, I think I'll go out in the middle of the night and call for him again. I'll try quieter methods this time. Go up to peoples' garages and see if I don't hear anything. Hopefully I won't get any cops thinking I'm trying to break in, lol.

I don't even know how to describe what's going on with me right now. There's conflicts of interest that I have not been able to figure out how to resolve at any point in my life, if that's even the right terminology. Ugh. It's so... awkward... feeling things that draw attention to my, uh, predicament.

Now I'm wondering if anyone sees what I did there. :nehneh:

I hate how cold it's getting. I wouldn't be surprised if we get snow soon. Wooooo.
