Mass shooting at a gay nightclub in orlando florida, reports of over 20 dead and over 40 injured. The gunman was apparently massively armed.

I'm thinking that this is at least a hate crime, but I also want to call it domestic terrorism due to recent transphobic and homophobic fearmongering

^It's insanely easy to get guns in the US, go to a privately run gun sale and you dont even need ID-and that's legal btw.

I don't know why, I know it's massively bad in the US with gun controls but I think a part of me still just denies this is even possible because it sounds beyond absurd that all this is the norm there.



And no, homophobia is far from over. Ask the average person outside of typically Western countries what they think of gays and you'll get some very colorful language about them.

Ask an average Pole, Greek, Serbian, Russian, etc what they think of gays.

Have fun trying to restrain yourself from punching them in the face from the sheer amount of bigotry in their answer. And that's from European countries.

(Obviously not everyone in those countries is homophobic, I know that for a fact. But it's not typically "socially acceptable".)

And yeah, gun-loving Americans love to preach about how that's how they'll defend themselves against the government, but I don't see anyone lifting a finger to do anything about the fact that the US government right now is very much deeply corrupt. Oh no, the gays are far more dangerous than the people lying out of their asses to us.

A large amount of americans don't own guns and are actively against them. A large amount do own them but it's painting a very broad picture to say that most americans think that way when it's more a split thing.

For christs sake i live in texas of all states and i have never seen a gun outside of hunters and police officers.
