I've hardly eaten anything in the last 24 hours and still struggling to stomach anything But then, guess the last two days have been mega rough on me.

I'm thinking how much I'm looking forward to my course! Sure, it's going to involve several sleepless nights and I'll probably mess up a lot, but I know I can be a great student. Four days a week is more than manageable. I'm hoping this excitement lasts.

If I can manage to get qualified as an assistant groomer, then I can start looking for a part-time job somewhere and begin to practice my craft, hopefully for a year or so. That way, when the time comes to do my other course to become a professional stylist, I might just be more well equipped than the average person going on that course. Of course, I know I'm privileged to be able to have the self-funding required to do both of these courses and garner more practice--but I'm sure as hell not going to waste that privilege. I'm going to be the best groomer I can possibly be.

I'm hoping any job I get is part-time, since I'm also taking an online dog psychology course during the latter months of this year. Busy busy busy.

Agree with xKendo. Good-natured ragging on friends is fine, but misgendering is too disrespectful to be considered that. Especially with all the discrimination transfolk face. We held a candle ceremony for all the fallen transpeople at our last Transgender Day of Remembrance. We lit something like 60 candles, one for each person who died. 60 people a year, just for being trans, and that's just the deaths we knew about. And that's why you're an a-hole if you misgender someone.

Alright, I'm at page 45, so if I do another ten pages today, Wednesday and Friday, I'll have finished my booklet. Then I can move onto actually taking in the information. Also, I'll need to remember that I have to learn all the components of my kit...so far I only really knew a few. I have three pairs of scissors that all do different things despite looking the exact same It's a lot to take in.

And looking at my Kennel Club Breed Standards book wouldn't hurt either. I'll have to be able to know pretty much every breed there is
