Well, some teens are. Just not responsible enough to be left in charge for several days. Really, the only reason Kiara was left in charge, and Kion is in charge of The Lion Guard is because it's a show for little kids. Kids in media like this are always a threat or in leadership roles, whether it's credible or not.

It depends on the task, but leadership of an entire kingdom? When you're a tiny cub? (That doesn't have any 'special powers' at that, either.) And even if she's older than she looks she's still small enough to be killed by most carnivores that set their mind to it.

I know they are, but overall I wouldn't say TLG makes for an enjoyable show outside of its target audience unless you ridiculously lower your standards. It's just a pity, people have told me that the show got better but I really don't see it.

@Kops Oh, I agree. Kiara is indeed older than Kion, just not by much. And she's far too young to be left in charge of an entire kingdom, even if it's temporary. Smooth parenting there, Simba.

I don't know if they were a litter and Kiara just happened to be the first-born or something. It's hard to tell considering the sizes in TLG are really weird.

Litter sizes in TLK in general are weird. Simba was an only child, and it's impossible to tell what the age difference was between Scar and Mufasa.

Mufasa and Scar are a very weird case. The funny thing is, lions in reality with darker manes like Scar's are usually older, and he even looks older in my opinion, but if he actually was he'd be the one ruling the Pridelands.

Kion already has a mane growing so he must be at least Kovu's age when Kiara and Kovu first met, and Kiara looks about the same as the age when she met him as well, so... I have no idea.

EDIT: I just realised that Simba was actually speaking Greek to the elephants when he said 'he had poop on him' (Είχε κακά πάνω του). I'm not even joking. Really?? Greek in Africa?

Well, according to the wiki Mufasa is older than Scar, so I have no idea either. I do agree Scar does look older, but he apparently isn't. And in reality lions with dark manes are healthier and preferred by lionesses than lions with lighter manes, so since Mufasa seems to be of better health and is much larger than Scar, he should really be the one with the dark mane. But he isn't because dark mane equals evil. TLK just isn't very accurate when it comes to lions.
