It is so creepy how in TLK2 when Zira dies you can clearly see that she is smiling as she falls. That whole scene just feels like there is something missing, and it turns out to be a creepy suicide death that was edited out to make it look like she was falling instead. I still think she's one of the most evil villains Disney ever made. Just the way she is obsessed with Scar and killing Simba. By the end of the film that's literally all she has left.

Reading this, thinking about it and visualizing this at 12 midnight gave me the chills. You know, I always wondered why the outlanders were exiled in the first place.

Alright, time to get to work. Mom already did more than half of it while I was asleep.

I think the scene is so much more effective with the suicide part. They should've kept it (as well as most of the other deleted scenes) in, honestly. But yeah. It's completely in character for her.

Anyway, I should probably get a better start on this project that's due in a few weeks... but there's a large part of me that would rather write for the video game instead, and work out some of those scenes we were talking about. :ocwap:

Well I'm assuming that while Simba was living in the Oasis, Scar built up some followers among the pride and found Kovu and the ones who had joined his side were exiled when Simba returned and Scar died. TLK2 never confirms that is what happened but it seems most likely to me :)

@GG: You posted while I was replying to the other post :D but yes I agree... Sort of. I do think that it was right to be taken out. The suicide bit does fit her character but I mean they only edited out the bit where she was like "Nope!" but she still tries to drag Kiara down with her instead of letting her help her. So... I mean it still kind of is suicide anyway but its not as in your face as it was originally. Which for a company that makes family entertainment, I think is actually a good thing.

I hate making money budgets, especially when I don't know how much money I'll have by then. :ugh:
