[quote="Kops"]^ Yeah I want to respond to him since it's just a local guy who reads his emails but I'm not sure if I'm overstepping my boundaries by saying anything and I'm not sure if there's anything I can say that will mean anything to him anyway.

But sometimes that is also the difference. I'm a pretty happy, glass half full kind of guy, I'll always try and say something nice. Granted, I am aware that it can and sometimes does piss people off. for better or worse its part of who I am, like it or leave it. But here's why: if I didn't say anything to someone in that situation and then later found out they (worst case scenario) hung themselves or something, I would always carry that thought with me that "Gee, I wander if I had just said something, anything, then maybe that person wouldn't have taken their life."
I guess when you've seen friends die in front of you it kind of changes your perspective. But I smile almost all the time at everyone, maybe to some its weird or whatever but for one person it may be the difference they need to feel better when they really need it, and that is far more important to me.
