I am running on fumes here. I'm so tired and I have no chance of catching a nap before my 9 hour shift. It's gonna be a tough one, guys.

^ Why do you need an article that contradicts reality? :?

If someone isn't violent, a violent game won't make them violent, and if someone is violent, they are gonna be violent with or without it. It has more to do with disposition and the way a child is raised than the media in question. Generally it's only if they're told that that kind of violence is okay that they will become more violent; I have always had violent games, even when I was young, but I'd never hurt someone unprovoked. That's the way most people who have exposure to violence in media are.

There is a correlation between violent people and playing violent games, but there has been no proof (that I have seen) that the games are causative. They can give ideas to violent people, yeah, and no little kids oughtn't be playing GTA, but yeah. Last I checked all of the articles that claim games make people violent that I've dealt with were from biased studies with nothing but correlation as evidence. I have done a lot of research on the topic for psychology courses and my own curiosity.

But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm violent and in denial. :crazy2:

^I completely agree with you, honestly.
But, I'm writing an "argumentative essay" for school and the subject given to my group was "Are video games beneficial or harmful for children?". According to the given guidelines, I'm supposed to give a pro and a con argument. I already have 3 pro arguments, since most articles defend that position, and I'm currently incapable of finding an article with a con position, as they're not that common. :/

^ It says a lot about the anti-gaming parent crowds when you have difficulty finding a source that supports their stance. :P

I hated those kinds of assignments. There's probly not many good sources supporting the opposing position as there is very little to suggest it has any merit. You may just have to go with someone's opinion essays or something unfortunately. Good luck.

Yep, I hate them too...especially when there are no articles to be found about the subject. :ugh: But, yeah, you're right. I'll have to search for those, then. Thanks, anyway! :highfive:

Is it possible to know who it is that gives you X stars on FAA?

Example, User Abc has given artwork 123 a total of 2 stars.
