The disney fanbase is one of the more pleasant fanbases I have been a part of. My only real complaint is about how fanatical some can get, acting like walt cured cancer and farted rainbows.

I'm only interested in a fanbase if I'm able to RP in something I believe, I guess. To feel that connection.

Biggest issues I've had is with furry forums (met plenty of cool furries IRL and in other places, so other than them lol). Not being mean or unwelcoming or anything, really, but I saw a lot self-hatred from the users in some of them. Even if it was joking sometimes, it was just a downer experience.

RPing is just a way to pass the time for me, so I guess it's not that big of a deal. It's not something I can do a whole lot of at once, either, since I have a stupid hand. :pout:

On MLP forums most users are really hard on themselves. It is kinda a downer. I'm not there much, largely for that reason. There's a lot of people are way too desperate to make friends/find romance there. It's off-putting having everyone after you for all the wrong reasons and being so rough on themselves over small things. :kionugh:

Based on what I know about furries, which isn't much, is that they tend to have persecution complexes. Bronies get a lot of flack for crossover art, mostly because a lot of fanbases don't want to be associated with them, but I like a good crossover image.

Furries and bronies do get crap, but it's certainly not as bad as some of them act like it is. People into anything not super-duper average get crap from somebody.

I'm both of those things, and I really don't give a f--- if that bothers some poor soul.

I think another thing with the MLP/Furry fandom is that IRL it's not something that may be viewed as "normal" and so they fear judgment. I mean MLP is technically a show made for little girls, yet many men and women love the show, but due to the fear of being judged will not talk about it out loud and therefore they turn to forums and online communities. Same goes for furries. The fact is society is judgmental, and I mean people judge you for being too fat or too skinny... Most people don't even want to know what their friends or family would say if they dressed in a fursuit as a hobby.

For me it's different. If I commit into something, my duty is to make it happen until the end. For others, it's rather casual.

The way I see it, not many fandoms are as popular as MLP. Crossovers happen because bronies have different interests. Anyways, the MLP wave has already hit Asia, but still not as popular as the West.

That's the right attitude to have. I have never hidden anything about myself from anyone; I don't usually expressly say it either, cos why should I? But I'm not ashamed of who I am or what I like.

If someone wants to hate me for any of those things, that just makes them look bad, not me.

None of my good friends give me crap about my tlk obsession because they're good friends.

Some of them even encourage it lol.
