Well, some kids are more tough than others. I was a very timid kid. I didn't even start watching PG-13 movies until I was actually 13 because they freaked me out too much.

Omg! I didn't even check ratings, to be honest, I just watched! But, I won't say I was a "tough kid", I'd more say that I was...very innocent. I think that the reason I saw death scenes and quickly ended up forgetting about them was because it took me a while to see death as "THE THING". :innocent:

^ Yeah that makes sense. When my first pet died I remember being more confused than grieving because I couldn't properly understand it, might have been the same for you. :P

^ Interesting. I've understood death from a pretty young age. Or at least I understood enough of it to know that violence freaked me out. Really graphic violence and death still freaks me out to this day. My stomach starts to get very queasy and uncomfortable if I watch too much of it.

^ That was beginning of kindergarten, I'm not sure if that's young enough. After that I was exposed to violence maybe a little too much so I caught on pretty quick. Still get queasy to this day too.

Eh, I can't remember a time when I didn't understand death, and violence and gore in media are rarely ever severe enough to bother me... though real violence is another story.

I've also understood death from a young age, but I didn't really see the death scenes of movies as "climax scenes". I also focused more on the happier parts. :) I'm still a bit like that, nowadays. While watching something, I can be like "Omg, she/he died..." but, on the end, the parts I remember more clearly are others.

I was pretty sensitive to violence as a child.

But after shows like The Sopranos, Rome and Game of Thrones, I'm pretty desensitised. :D
