That's dumb. How come?
Well, they say it's too negative on America. Basically, they want to put a religious and patriotic spin on the history. They want to include the ten commandments and Ronald Reagans and George W Bush's speeches as "foundational" documents of the US. It is quite silly since they want to put less emphasis on the oppression of African Americans and Native Americans, and more on the achievements of the republican party. It's an attempt to politicize education and when they didnt get their way, they voted to ban it. It is stupid.
That's kind of weird. History should be told objectively. Did they end up banning it? Because that is silly and stupid, imo. Ban a class that is fine for kids nationwide because a small group in Oklahoma don't think it's patriotic enough.
What do you want, people?

I want to watch Part 1 again shortly after it comes out on DVD. I'll try to persuade my dad to buy it. He hasn't bought the other two, but although he seems not to be interested in buying the second, and I don't mind if he doesn't buy the first, he didn't sound against the idea of buying the third. I don't know. We'll just have to wait and see.
