Normally, I would be very skeptical about reading something like this. It seems like nonsense. But... based on that video I was watching yesterday, this actually makes complete sense. If the human process of learning and thinking really is just one algorithm of compression of collective raw data, then this seems like it could work. This is basically using the algorithm to create an entity of its own. Because it works on that level, it shouldn't be subjected to the input of an actual environment.
So... what I've (unintentionally) done is I've created an entire concept from scratch—from the very ground up. Every base facet is something all its own; it's a quality that can only truly be defined by itself. This is what allows it to stand independently, without dependent influence from any other concepts. This is what prevents it from being manipulated, but allows it to easily be imagined on a whim.
I'll do a bit more research before I start to blabber on. I'm afraid my understanding of this isn't quite high enough for me to be able to speak informatively just yet. But this... this is interesting stuff.
