People who write about southerners, and ain't from down here, need to learn how to use (and spell) the contraction "y'all." You can't say "y'all" when addressing only one person. It's a contraction of "you" and "all;" that's also why the apostrophe comes after the 'y' and not the 'a.' Come on now, just cos we say things you think sound funny, don't mean we say 'em in ways that don't make sense. Damn Yankees... we ain't all as dumb as they make us look on TV, and just cos we talk funny ain't evidence that we are. Our slang follows grammar rules. It does.
And to that Vonage commercial, you are obviously fakin' that accent lady. It hurts my ears it sounds so bad.
