People are idiots. You can't believe a "news" story that: 1) is posted only on a nonlegit site such as wordpress; 2) contains grammatical mistakes; 3) contradicts itself (by saying something like "Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Green tea is a better alternative..." since green tea is also caffeinated); 4) leaves details vague ("big hospital" but never revealing a name, that sounds legit...); 5) can easily be proven wrong based on one point in a quick (like 30 second) google search.

Becoming a vegetarian who doesn't even eat fruit won't prevent you from getting cancer folks. It'll just prevent you from getting essential nutrients your body needs. Come on, don't be daft. (Or, if you must be, please refrain from sharing it to Facebook if you're in my friends list. Please do me the favor of removing me from your friends list before clicking "share.")

Right now I'm kinda debating in my head whether I want to double my RAM from 4GB to 8GB. 4 gigs does fine most (99.6%) of the time, but Waterfox (Firefox x64) tends to go over 2 gigs of RAM use after a couple hours of use, and Skype is the next biggest resource hog sitting at 250 megs.

>inb4 just close waterfox ya numbnut
When it reaches 2 gigs, it's usually when I'm neck-deep in some super-long browsing session with like 15 tabs open.

That, and for some reason Dark Orbit uses a lot of RAM, and the RAM usage just stays there and doesn't decrease after I log out of it.

Meanwhile, in the 'bad ideas' department...

I tried to solder two halves of a pair of broken stainless steel tweezers using a regular electronics soldering iron.
