This might be the solder fumes speaking, but what the hey, I'll spill:

So at the start and end of each session for this microprocessor tech class, each student is given a piece of soldering wire so they can perform their soldering tasks either in class, at home, or both.

What I did was that I took two of my friends' microprocessor circuit boards as well as their soldering wire, and took them home and assembled/soldered them all myself (my own as well), and kept whatever is left of the solder for myself.

Turns out each student is given a fairly generous amount of solder, because they're expected to make mistakes and re-solder things. Well, not this student. I don't make mistakes.

By the end of four weeks, I've already gathered a fist-sized clump of soldering wire for completely free.

Yeah, we're gonna keep in touch for sure. I'm still gonna miss her to pieces, though. And I just got back from the last time we'll be together before she moves and now I'm crying uncontrollably.
