Single life is so much better though. Almost all my close friends are now single and they all seem much happier and relaxed.

^ I don't like it so far.. I guess it's early days for me, but I am struggling to adjust. I know for damn sure I don't want Ez back.. Ever, after all he's put me through, but being alone alot isn't great for me atm =(

Eeeyup. You and me both. Just had a text from Kate asking if she can bring her BF to this meet we are having in December. Don't get me wrong, her BF is lovely and came over her for my Mum and Dads wedding anniversary and we had such a laugh but Kate bless her is a bit loved up and they pretty much live in each others pockets and she explained in this text her BF's work timetable. I'm a bit like "Kate love. I'm going away tomorrow and I'm still a tad sensitive so can we change the subject? ". But yeh you aren't the only one. I'm avoiding FB at the moment due to all the lovey statuses or I just hide them. Best thing to do at the mo.

And was it that Sofa that made you an Oddball? Want me to have words with it?

Thanks guys. Tonight is just one of those nights I guess. I am getting there, but my god I hate being single >.< After three years.. it's all a bit of a shock.

I don't think being alone is really great for anyone, honestly. In numerous studies, people who live alone tend to have much poorer health, especially psychologically. On one side of my family, although I'm not actually related to them, social anxiety runs deep in their blood. They're also very depressed, to the point of frequent suicidal thoughts.

All of that side of the family has basically been alone their entire lives, living that way out of fear, and now that they're older, it's really painful for me to even think about.

We're humans--we're not meant to live like that. We can't. There is a biological reason why we seek the company of other humans, and that's the only reason why our species has survived for as long as it has, in the same way that it has. In nature, we can't survive alone. Only in modern society is that actually possible.

That being said, being alone is several orders of magnitude better than being in a bad relationship. Being single does have its perks, as I mentioned earlier, but there really is no compensation for human companionship.

It's stupid as can be, but that is the way it is. If I knew of a way to make things any different, I would have said so by now. The only thing you can really do is try not to think about it... which is why it's always so weird to see other people in relationships.

This is why Valentines day always sucks, lol.
