Nah, but seriously, that shouldn't cause any problems. It's so easy to reconnect a computer, even my mom has done it on her own before. The only problems you'll run into are not being able to change it to WEP, or having an ancient device that doesn't support WEP.

Take the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modular_connectorEthernet wire[/url], plug one end into a matching socket in the wall, and the other end into another matching socket in the laptop. Change settings then.
