If you ever get the chance to watch the original series you should. Seasons 1 to 3 are awesome. After that it's a bit hit and miss as most of the original cast moved on and the focus started to move away from the Gallaghers. I still loved the show right to the end though and the final episode was great.

But yeah, I've heard the US version is good too, so I might get hold of it sometime. In the meantime I might re-watch my DVDs of the early seasons.
