My stance. Yes, they took some ideas and stuff from Kimba, but The Lion King is still a masterpiece and stands greatly on it's own. People forget that MANY, MANY other works take ideas from other works! And never give credit! It's just because that TLK is so famous that it gets focused on in this area.

In fact, Indiana Jones takes DIRECT STUFF from older films, and it never gives direct credit! And guess what?... No one cares!
