Pfft. Having an "attitude" like that is the quickest way to make me never take the person seriously again on most things.

Truth is, people with over-positive outlooks are constantly lying to themselves. They know everything is wrong with the world , life, and humanity, yet they just don't want to admit it and cower behind a mask of ''positive attidude'' because reality is too much for them to comprehend. To me, there is no greater beauty and enlightenment than to see this rotten world as it really is.

There is a lot of bad, in this world yes. There is a lot of good too. The news media reports mostly bad and little of the good because sunshine and rainbow filled news tends to not get the ratings they want. Humans have a morbid curiosity with the bad aspects of life.

I think an overly cynical world view is just as bad as an overly positive one. The world isn't always sunshine and rainbows but it isn't always doom and gloom either.

The only hint I'll give is that we're living in an upside down world where nothing is as it should. For example, someone who dedicated his life to helping others and saving lives gets paid less than the average soccer player who contributes nothing useful to humanity except his own fame and glory. If I were to mention all other things I doubt I'd be done by the time the clock hits 12am here, so I can only hope for you that this kind of enlightenment may someday awaken you and everyone else. That would be the first step to a better world.

I do not think you will be able to convince me, nor would I be able to convince you. I respect and at the same time disagree with your outlook on a lot of things. I'm assuming you respect but disagree with a lot of things I say here too.

Depends how you look at it. For someone who doesn't want to face reality it's best for them to look away, but to me it is enlightenment and wisdom. Because the thought pattern of people nowadays seems to be OK let's just play Pokemon Go and pretend nothing is wrong. And I am not exactly a ''follow the herd'' kind of guy.

I hope you're not assuming that I am a 'cover your ears' type of person. I know that a lot of bad happens, I just think you're understating how much good happens.

Most sincerely good natured people do not do good deeds for glory, money or fame, often declining or not wanting those things. They do them because they genuinely like doing good things which is another reason why those things don't often get reported, often skewing peoples world view.

Funny, been seeing that a lot with someone IRL recently and that's the impression I get from excessively positive people now. I understand genuinely optimistic people (because it's not like being pessimistic on everything is gonna do anything but make you constantly grumpy), but there's some that deny absolutely anything is wrong at all and you can tell they're in complete denial and trying to convince themselves as much as they're trying to convince you. It's a sad sight.

I wish there wasn't such an awful lack of things to do around here.
