(Stupidly!) anxious/guilty. One of our dogs in work had a seizure today, and it's the first time I've ever witnessed one. It was very jarring despite it being barely anything more than a petit mal. It only lasted three minutes and she was okay, but you could see that she wasn't with us. My heart was racing the entire time. It was the first time the poor little lamb ever had one in her 9 years and I can't help but wonder what brought it on since I had been grooming her up until that point. It may have been due to the nervousness from the blaster but I have blasted plenty of nervous dogs who have not fallen into seizures--I also don't believe it's that possible for the blaster to truly be the source for it--I'm thinking it was just nature/fate. I looked into her breed, and it's apparently common with them. Poor thing.
At least I've informed myself a little bit more on them should another one occur. We get quite a few epileptic dogs. My biggest fear would be moving them from the table. I'd be terrified to somehow strengthen the seizure during that process, especially if it's a big dog. Better safe than sorry, though.
